Our Party of 5 had a LONG list of places to see in our short stay in the Eternal City. Where to Rome enabled us to see everything, without headaches of traffic, parking, and walking.
There pricing is very competitive, and there Mercedes Van was new, clean, and spotless.
Our Driver Valerio was a gentlemen. I have a disability and he kindly helped me in and out of the van each stop. Not to mention he aided us with decisions of which place to go to first and added a few off the beaten track stops that were breathtaking--especially the "keyhole!"
Their service was prompt, reliable, and affordable.

We used this car service to go from Civitavecchia to Rome for the day.
Massimo picked us up promptly at 7:30 am and we had a great chat about Italy. After our visit he was back at our meeting place to take us back to our hotel. Highly recommend!

Prior to our trip to Italy in June, I wanted to book a car & driver for our group of 4 to go over to the Adriatic coast, 3 hrs east of Rome (the 'milk run' train would have taken 6 hrs.) I googled "car & driver Rome", came up with several choices, checked them out on Trip Advisor, then contacted one of them, WhereToRome, by email, to ask specific questions about the cost, etc. My email was answered within hours. I still wasn't sure about the exact date we wanted to use their service, so I kept in touch with Marco at WhereToRome by email, until we had our details finalized. Because I then had a 'relationship' with them, I asked about the cost of a car & driver to pick us up at the airport. There were 4 of us in our group, with tons of luggage, so the last thing we wanted to be doing was lugging our stuff around finding a bus or train on our arrival, since our "clock" made it 5 am, not 11 am their time. When I explained how much luggage we had, Marco assured me that the vehicle would be big enough for all of us and our luggage. The cost was reasonable for 4 adults, not much more than public transportation. They obviously monitor flight times, because even though our flight from Toronto, Canada was almost an hour early, the driver was waiting for us in the arrivals area, with a sign with our names, exactly as Marco had advised us (and we went through customs very quickly, and our luggage was also quickly available, so I really didn't expect them to be there yet.) It was a great start to our trip. I had already booked our day trip by email prior to leaving Canada, and the driver arrived 10 minutes prior to the set time, again with a full-size Mercedes van, with 3 rows of seats. The driver, Massimo, spoke very good English, stopped at rest stops when we requested it, and was very pleasant. He even managed to find a Trabocco (plural trabocci) for us to have lunch at. They are normally only open on the weekends in June, but he asked various locals until he found someone that said there was one open (it was Thursday) because they had a group in for lunch (Trabocco Punta Isolata.) You have to go to one! They are amazing! Formerly wooden fishing piers, now restaurants that very few tourists know about. Amazing 7 course lunch, aperitif and after dinner drink. The seafood dishes are so fresh, so different, and wonderfully prepared. We all agreed this was a highlight of our 2 week trip.
Without our driver Massimo's persistence, and excellent knowledge of the local roads and Italian language, we would have missed out, because I actually told him he could give up after speaking with several locals that didn't know of one being open. After our fantastic lunch, Massimo took us through Lanciano area and another small town, where one in our group had parents born in the area. Massimo was aware of a restaurant we hadn't planned on stopping at, and the person in our party met a cousin of his (she was the cook)! They were both very emotional about the reunion. She spoke some English, so they were able to have a good conversation about their relatives. Thank you Massimo, again, for stopping at that restaurant! We also used WhereToRome for our drive back to the airport, and again they arrived 10 minutes prior to our scheduled pick-up. Very stress-free way to travel, for not a ton of money, when you break it down per person. I would definitely recommend this company: very safe, friendly, knowledgeable drivers, very reliable for pick up times, very prompt with replying to any of your email queries, will do everything they can to customize YOUR trip. They are definitely customer service oriented. I would definitely suggest a day trip; Rome, Florence, etc are beautiful, but it was so wonderful to see the countryside of this amazing country! I would definitely recommend WhereToRome for a safe, dependable day trip or other service.

Booked online (was hesitant) but was top notch! Andrea assisted me and answered all my questions right away. Driver Fabrizio was the best! We asked for English speaking driver and he was wonderful! Took us to all the places we wanted to see, gave us some history along the way, and kept us on schedule all day. Would highly recommend this company and our awesome driver!

We were so happy to have picked WheretoRome car service from Civitavecchia Cruise Ship port to Rome and back again. We found the price for this private car service was very reasonable. Upon booking, we paid a deposit then paid the balance in euros at the end of our trip. Andrea was very good at confirming feasible itineraries and giving us the driver's contact information. Vincenzo, our driver, was prompt, lovely to talk to, and a very good driver. We loved the flexibility of leaving at 7:20 am (unlike the tour buses) so we were able to do more when in Rome. Vincenzo dropped us off at our first stop (Sistine Chapel) at 8:45 am to do our first organized tour. Prior to the tour starting, we even had time to visit St Peter's Basilica Square and enjoy the sights. After our tour of the Sistine Chapel/St Peter's Basilica, we hired a different private car to take us to the Coliseum at 12:30pm. This is a much better option than trying to find the nearest taxi stand if you are tight on time.. At 4:10 pm we met Vincenzo at our final meeting spot outside the Coliseum to take us back to the ship. Leaving then gave us plenty of time make it back on time (by 5:30 pm). All in all, it was a wonderful day knowing we could rely on WheretoRome car service to get to and from Rome from the cruise port and still have plenty of time to enjoy the sights we had planned in between..

On a recent visit to Frascati, six of us took a private tour of the Castelli Romani with this company. We had a lovely day with Marco in his taxi ,visiting various towns such as Nemi, Castel Gandolfo and the lovely Abbazia Greca di San Nilo at Grottaferrata. We saw the gorgeous views by the volcanic Lago di Nemi.Lunch by the lake was a huge, delicious porchetta sandwich from the fascinating deli and tiny strawberries grown locally in the volcanic soil all year round. We ended our tour with a delicious and interesting wine tasting at an organic vineyard , Merumalia.Marco was an accommodating, informative and considerate guide and the 5 hour tour was a very reasonable price. We also used them for our taxi transfers from the airport. Highly recommended!

WhereToRome provided car service between Rome and Perugia. The Company and Mr. Lumbarti were very professional, always punctual, and respectful of our needs. I would highly recommend the WhereToRome car service for those traveling longer distances in Italy.

The guys at Where to Rome were very helpful in providing our transportation needs for our wedding in Rome in June, when we married at the beautiful town hall castle in the hills at San Gregorio di Sassolo. Marco and the boys were very friendly and polite. They gave us special attention and helped make the day go brilliantly. They provided mini-buses and a mercedes at competitive rates and the laughs and giggles were thrown in for free!
We will definitely use them again for out transfers when we return to Rome soon.
Thanks guys.

Hi there,
What is your cancellation policy when booking car service from the port of Civatavecchia and Rome? I couldn't find the answer on your website.
Thanks very much.
