6 euros entrance fee into what looks like a small museum. It is deceiving as it is over several floors, covers lots of different aspects of Gmunden history and includes an art gallery and a church! We loved the sanitary ware museum. The museum is very new and everything is beautifully displayed. I wish there had been more English information. There is a small museum shop selling Gmunden ceramics and other knock knacks. Good for a rainy day.

The history of sanitary ware - in particular the WC. You will find the most ridiculous contraptions to the most intriguing. All of todays designers should however take note. A most instructive display
