Since it's out in the country, we didn't expect this zoo to have as much to see as it did. We figured we could probably get in and out in an hour, but ended up staying three. The animals were very active and easy to see from viewing areas, and seeing rare ones like white tigers and white lions was really cool! Informational panels being available in both French and English were also helpful. Overall maybe my favorite zoo I've ever been to!

We visited the zoo on 1 September. It was really quiet so we were able to walk round at our own pace and get great views of the animals. There are some unusual animals that we haven't seen in other zoos - white tigers, white lions, tawny lions, arctic fox and wolves. We really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it for families.

A surprisingly diverse and under stated zoo and cheap by British standards. This was our last attraction of our holiday and one with a wide range of animals which all seem to be in good enclosures and were well cared for. The whole place is well thought through and great for families. The staff were friendly and spoke English well (though some of their translated written English is poor on the displays) The White lions, wolves and tortoise a highlight for me.

We have visited Zoo de Jurques for a number of years now when we holiday in Normandy.

The prices are very reasonable for both adults and children, and based on the varieties of animals I think it is exceptional value.

For example, I had never before seen snow leopards, white lions or a number of the other smaller species they had.

They very cleverly construct the environments, so viewing is still easy for all ages and heights through large perspex screens rather than purely relying on big metal cages.

When my son was younger he loved the petting zoo too, I also enjoyed feeding the greedy goats. My personal favourite was the humboldt penguins. Again, these are are very visible for all ages.

My only criticism is that all the talks are in French. Completely understandable being in France and I don't expect a full version in English, but an information sheet in English of what is discussed in the talks would be really helpful and informative.

I would certainly recommend it and we will definitely be going again.

What a good zoo to visit. Spent several hours there. Very clean and tidy and the staff were very pleasent and friendly. The resteraunt was good with everything freshly cooked and clean and nicely set out. Even though it was busy it did not feel crowded. The mountain sheep enclosure is amazing and looks natural. If you are in the area a visit is a must.

What a really lovely Zoo. The animals are well cared for in large enclosures and yet the public can get real close to them. In fact in some areas you can inter react with them. A really nice day out and will probably return on another visit to Normandy.

We went on a grand day out to the zoo. 3 families worth, 7 adults and 7 children with ages from 4 to 9..

You are met with a bouncy castle (refreshingly free) and a small guinea-pig area that is well looked after and the children can get up close to them...

Most of the enclosures have both French and English signs which helps when the children ask what animal they are looking at!

Some enclosures might seem a little small but animals seem to be very well cared for and there are a few that you can enter such as some aviaries and the kids favourite the ring-tailed lemurs!

We spend 4 fun packed hours at the zoo and although there are some parts that require some steep declines and inclines the children had a wonderful time and any last energy that they might have had was worn out at the play area!

Highly recommended to seek out if you are in the area.

Now there are a lot of controversial thoughts around zoo's but a good zoo makes you feel like you are a kid again and really makes you appreciate the amazing wonder of certain animals. In comparison to some zoos this felt small in size but the enclosures were some of the biggest I have seen and allowed plenty of room for each animal. What they also allow is you to get up close and personal with animals. We got to feed giraffes and be up close to penguins. I have never seen Lions that close either and I now really appreciate their size. I can't recommend this enough as an amazing few hours out with family. Entry price is reasonable and restaurant quality was very good too!

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here.
Animals were out & about, great selection to observe.
Park very nicely kept.
Our only small complaint was the restaurant wasn't serving 'snacks' & we didn't want a full dinner. & avoid the sandwiches in the gift shop! Yuck!
Other than that, a very pleasant place to visit.
