If you are ever in Hungary, this is well worth a visit if you have children. The water park is right next to the Hungarian F1 race circuit, so it's built to cope with crowds. It is not that well publicised for tourists, but it's a hidden gem. Loads of slides, some unique ideas, a lazy river, a brilliant children's pool and best of all, great weather. Hungary enjoys some very hot summer weather and the temperature can reach nearly 40 degrees C, so it's perfect for cooling off. Well worth a visit - you just have to find it first!

We visited Aquarena as a party of 2 adults and 3 children aged 8, 8 and 4. The water park is all outdoors so only enjoyable on a nice day (which lucky we had). There are plenty of slides to choose from which the kids especially enjoyed. Plenty of places to pop your towel down or get a sunbed. The toilets and changing areas were nice and clean although sadly the kids pool was closed the day we stayed which slightly spoiled the day for my 4 year old. The food was as expected for such a place: pancakes, burgers, hot dogs, ice cream but was good. Slightly overpriced but again as expected. I thought the day pass was a little expensive (especially as my 4 year old couldnt use the kids pool) but not too much. You have to top up your wrist band to pay for items which is different to Aquaworld where you charge items to your wrist band and pay on departure. This meant we did have to top it up a few times during the day. You do get any unused amount back as you leave. A good day all in all, not sure we will be back though. If slides is your thing, I would recommend though, if you like a nice relaxing day then Aquaworld is better.

We have been to Mogyorod Aquapark in a sunny day during our vacation with my family in Hungary. The Aquarena has a lot of slides, which gave a wonderful pastime to my children as well as to adults in the group. In nutshell, it was a really big fun for all of us. P.S.: Cafeteria is an absolutely not worth to go category.

If you stay in Budapest more than 3-4 days, and if it's summertime, I think it's a great fun to go to this aquapark especially with children. It is an all day program, and you can reach this place with bus, but I think it's better to go with your own car.

A great water park, we purchased a raft so we would not have to wait so long for the park owned rafts, this makes it possible to get many more trips down the shutes instead of standing in line waiting. The park is a little difficult to get to if you do not have a car, sometimes there is a taxi waiting at the station that runs back and forth all day long, I think it cost 1200HUF for the round trip, it is a long walk from the train station if the taxi is not available. We will go again next trip to Budapest. thanks

We visited the aquapark before our trip to the Sziget festival (it's only 25km from the center of Budapest) and had a good time. Lots of slides and almost no waiting, even on a hot and busy day.
The park works with a pre-paid wristband system and offers you drinks, ice-cream and food. Best off it al was that the park has a separate camping site which was quite cheap, so we decided to stay there overnight (thumbs up for the cleanliness of the camping facilities!).

If I ever would be back in that region, I'd definitely re-visit the park!

Helyenként nagyon veszélyes, képzetlen személyzet, kezdik elhanyagolni
, igazi "magyar hozzáállás"
Quite dangerous place by place. Uneducated staff, started to neglect the renewals, real "Hungarian approach"

This place is just 20 minutes drive (highway most of the time) from Budapest center. We have visited it on a extremely hot day during summer holiday, and it was full, but neither packer nor crowded too much.

The pools and the slides are nice, the water temperature was OK.

Only down is the catering offer. You better bring some food with you, as this is all about hot dogs and burgers.

We visited Aqua park on a Saturday 18th if June, 2016. Cost you 6000ft/ adult and 4500ft/ student to get in. Once inside you can.load money onto your wristband and start spending. The changing rooms are spacious and enough cubicles but the first problem presents that you can't use your wristband to purchase a locker but have to attend the cashier again to buy another type.of ticket to store your valuables. We waited 20 minutes at the female changeroom lines before realizing no one is coming, so walked to the guy's changing room. No biggie but avoidable...
The place wasn't the busiest although the weather was perfect. Looked like it was going to be a perfect fun filled day. We also had 6 teenagers, a 7yrs old as well as 2 other adults. Going to the first slide up on.top blue slides did not disappoint. Climbed back again to try " hosszu kaland" an absolute flop...I struggled to make it down to the bottom. The slide is not sliding...had to push myself 3 times to actually make it. Thinking its only me.then finding my boyfriend disappointed at The bottom who tried " kis vakond" ha stage same experience. We had to try all slides getting the same result on.all 3 from that top section. Bizarre slides not sliding. "Szabadeses" is good, snakes are ok. " lassu folyo" again.badly designed was watching the poor staff member trying to.fish out floaties people were getting pushed. Doesn't quite floats as it supposed to. I have bene to many watermarks from Bali waterboom to Vietnam Vin Pearl to Florida, this was by far the poorest joy. Lets forget the disappointing rides. We got thirsty an hungry. Make sure you load lots of cash onto your wristband. Surprise ...not only the entry fee is expensive but the bar ...wait til you get charged 600ft / 4dl of beer ( average pub is 300ft/ 5dl) and once you get served by the training staff and half of the glass is missing make sure you ask.for a full oone poor service again staff in training by otherwise very young staff. Looks like students work the whole place except the food department.
Food: very average quality, no healthy option except a greek salad. Again prepare to.pay and arm and a leg for basics like a serve of chips.of wedges 700ft/ plate. SnitzEl 1500ft, kovaszos uborka 900ft. Hamburger 1100ft, quality is questionable. Service is line style. If you go with teenagers get ready to swipe half your salary in.one go. Ice cream 700ft/ average soft serve. Overall overpriced poor quality food. Definitely not what I expected, the grounds overall look weedy, unattended, fake grass is too hot for kids to.walk on. Spa hardly have pressure. Very different. Go and give it a go and see it for yourself.
