Nestled in the Salt River Hills of north-central Missouri, Mark Twain State Park gives visitors access to sprawling Mark Twain Lake, as well as unparalleled outdoors activities. The terrain is covered by bluffs overlooking the lake and stands of oak, hickory and maple that are filled with white-tailed deer, turkey and other wildlife. Numerous picnic areas, two four-lane boat ramps and more than six miles of hiking trails with lake views offer something for everyone.

Had a wonderful time camping with family, even though it stormed for 2 nights the days were beautiful, the campgrounds are wonderfully kept clean, I really appreciate the handicapped camp sites, makes it so much easier.

Went to one of the beaches at Mark Twain Lake and had a great time. The people there were very friendly and there to relax like us. It was a perfect day to hangout and enjoy the sunshine.

This park is serene, and in some spots you will feel like there are no other people around. We spent a day kayaking the lake, exploring some trails, and enjoying the excellent park station. Believe it or not, all of this cost us nothing in...More

Very quiet campground - we stayed in Puma. Clean restrooms and showers but old. Lake is very nice - could see from campsite thru the trees. Very shady

This is a very nice State Park. Missouri is one of the very few states that does not have an entrance fee for State Parks, and camping is very reasonably priced. The Mark Twain birthplace cabin is located within this park. There is a very...More

We typically go to table Rock Lake or Bull Shoals lake, can someone tell me if the mark twain water is as clear? We like being able to see our feet and not have the water being so murky.
