This is the main village square of this quaint small quiet location. We stood here for a long time, respectfully watching a funeral at that church, and hearing the long history of the Jews of Tykocin, including the tragic destruction and massacre of the community at the hands of the brutal Nazi occupiers.

The church is very impressive and enjoys a great location which makes it very photogenic. It was initially built in 1792

This is a cool church and we liked popping in. The problem we had was the same as everything in the area during November--it was under construction. It is very distinctive and you should stop when you go to the castle. Don't visit in November, though! That seems to be construction season.

First let me say that originally we went into here to escape the cold and try to warm up a bit but once inside it's clear it's worth a visit on its own merit, a lovely building both inside and out, it has a lot of competition in the area with plenty of similar buildings but this one holds it own, pay a visit, you'll really like it

It's beautiful, when you approach it from the Czarnecki monument... take a closer look inside, lots of interesting pictures etc. Really good they've finished renovating outside, it looks great now!
