Overview
More
St Michael de la Rupe is the highest working church in Southern England. The church is open all year round, and services are held from Easter to Michaelmas (late September) at 6.00pm every Sunday, weather permitting, as well as at 3.00pm on Christmas Day. Our roof is currently being repaired, but we are open to visitors and for services as usual!

This rather steep rock requires a short but demanding climb unless you are fit. The sorrounding views are rewarding, and this little church will surprise you - see my picture of the otter.

This tiny and peaceful church is well-worth the climb to visit. The views from the top are stunning, and the memorials in and around the church are worth studying. I was also amused by all the dates carved by previous visitors into the wooden beams...More

Not too far too walk up, about quarter of a mile but steep and slippery when wet. Wear stout footwear. Once you're at the top the views stretch for miles and you'll breathe some of the freshest air ever. We went up in a gale...More
