Visited this dam/reservoir recently. Buses are available from Thiruvannamalai (1 hr travel) and Chengam (30 to 40 min travel) towns. Buses stop close to the dam. Here there are small shops selling snacks are available. Crossing these, surprisingly a "Hotel Tamil Nadu" is also available...More

this place has a very intricate connect interwoven with my childhood. nice dam, could be still maintained well. nevertheless awesome place to be!. beyond age, generation, epitome of human achievement, a vision of a good leader/CM/statesman.
