I had an opportunity to visit this magnificent temple in Thiruvennamalai.on 16th July 2016 along with family friends. We went by car from chennai. We reached the temple around 12.30 p.m. and immediately joined the very big crowd in a long queue. It took us around half an hour to have the dharshan of Lord Annamalaiyar. The temple is a... More

Myself along with my parents visited Arunachalewarar temple last weekend, it was a wonderful temple. Inside the temple, at a particular place, we can able to view all the Gopurams. It was an Amazing view. Similarly in the pathway of Virupaksha cave and Skandasramam, wonderful view of the temple was seen.

In the pathway of Virupaksha and Skanda caves from behind Ramana Ashram, this spot gives you a wonderful view of the tempe and the town. Old temple towns in South India were built around the temple expanding in squares. You can still see the first set of squares around and inside the temple from here.

It is really a fulfillment for all our family members to have the darshan of Lord Siva, very near, loooooooong time prayer - one would not have even thought of at the time of peak hour rush ! It is our fortune, I would say, thank you Lord Annamalaiyar and Unnamalai Amman for having given us a wonderful seva !

You won't get tired of wondering the amazement of the architecture, art, and workmanship in this ancient Shiva temple. We make it a point to visit alteast once in a year. Not only for the greatness of the temple but for the Lord Shiva aka Arunachala or Annamalaiar. Any person visiting the shrine of the God will vouch for the... More

The hill itself is Shiva Linga. This is a temple of great significance in South India. The very thought of this temple ensures total salvation to the soul. This is the place that would destroy the “I” arrogance. Mother Uma performed penance here going round the hill to claim the left part of Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva granted His darshan... More
