Scenic and worth the trip
Jul 2017 • Family
Decided to visit this place after a trip to Edakal caves. We had a trip until the main road from where there is a diversion to the viewing point is about 2 KMs. We had to alight from the car and take keep to the viewing point area. Being the monsoon season, and a dirt track close to the viewing point, we went for it. Steeply priced at 500 INR, although we didn't bargain, it was probably a good idea since it was a bumpy ride through a wet mud slide once you get past the thinly inhabited area.
Once you get close, you need to walk it out and then lo behold! Some stunning scenery of the western ghats. Being a wet day, we did get a lot of mist and had to wait for clouds to clear off and on for a very glimpses but Mother Nature did not disappoint. Got some good views of Soojipara waterfalls, Meenmuty falls and the Chembra peak. It's a great place to simply sit n watch time go by with some great scenery

Tip: do stop by and pick up some avocados from locals selling enroute. Only 50 INR for a kilo !

Amazing view but dangerous drive
Nov 2016 • Family
It has an amazing view. They ride was very dangerous. The Jeep driver was amazing and he know exactly how to drive. He even offered me to drive in a safe place. I would not go there again. The view point is very dangerous. No safety measures at all. Mind-blowing view without safety.

Experienced heavy mist on an afternoon in summer
Apr 2017 • Couples
This is just a view point along the Kozhikode highway. One needs to park the vehicle along the highway to check the point. On arriving to the point we were surprised to have near zero visibility on an afternoon in peak summer. Once entering the place the temperature drops down drastically.

We were unfortunate that we didn't get a clear view of the valley down. But even with so much mist we got a feel of the place height.

A must visit place in Wayanad.

Magnificent Viewpoint offering views to Meenmutty falls and panoramic view
Dec 2016 • Family
This is the splendid and magnificent Viewpoint in the Kerala, Tamilnadu border.
The best time to visit the place is in the morning.
We can reach Viewpoint by hiring a jeep from the basepoint which is on the main road. The guides with jeeps will be waiting here and we need to park our vehicles and take a jeep to reach peak. From this point, we have to walk/trek for 15 minutes to have a splendid view of the Neelimala ranges.
The terrain to reach peak ia very rugged and complex.
Walk towards Viewpoint is also complex.
From the view point we can watch - Meenmutty Waterfalls and also Chembra peak.
The view is amazing and will be one of your life time experience.

a must see - view
Oct 2016 • Family
From this peak, you can see all the water falls of wayand and river. You can see views of valleys and plantations. Advisable for non-senior citizens only as it would involve a jeep ride on rough terrain and some walk as well.

Good View
Mar 2016 • Couples
You need to hire a jeep which can leave you half way near the place where Temple is getting built. Then a good walk.
