Just 5 kms away from PAndharpur this ashram holds tallest Vitthal murti as well as have stay facility, so you need not get bogged down by the traffic and crowd in main town, but have a nice and calm stay at this ashram. Have darshan of this tallest idol. And then you can goto the main town early morning to have darshan of Vitthal (for which Pandharpur is most famous for in Maharashtra, every year million people visit this temple and hence the town is always crowdy)
Ashram is neat and cleanly maintained. Located on the way PAndharpur-Tembhurni, hence at least if you do not want to stay there, may be you would like to stop there for a while and go ahead.

panduranga vitthal this is god of maharasatra.
Vithoba temple, Pandharpur is the main centre of worship for the Hindu deity Vithoba, believed to be a local form of god Krishna or Vishnu and his consort Rakhumai. It is the most visited temple in Maharastra. The Warkaris start marching from their homes to the temple of Pandharpur in groups called Dindi to reach on Aashadhi ekadashi andKartiki ekadashi. A dip in the holy river Chandrabhaga on whose banks Pandharpur resides, is believed to have power to wash all sins. All the devotees are allowed to touch the feet of the idol of Vithoba. In May 2014, the temple became first in India to invite women and people from backward classes as priests.
if you book the darshan ticket online by prasad.com , you will get darshan within 25 mints. very nice place

The Ashram has a very tall idol of Vitthal and that is what it is best known for. It is worth a visit if only to see this idol. The rest of the Ashram is meant for devotees to stay and small temples within.
