Kasim Bazar or Cossimbazar is a very old bazar that is situated in Murshidabad. It was a direct replica of the Mena Bazar of Delhi. There are 3 Chow bazar that were in India...... Meena Bazar in ChandniChowk Delhi, Meena Bazar of ChandniChowk Kolkata and Meena Bazar of ChandniChowk, Murshidabad.

When in Murshidabad, dont miss this beautiful property which has been converted into a hotel by the Roys, the owners who are settled in Kolkata and run Sugar&Spice. Not to be compared with Palace hotels of Rajasthan, this is a small but unique property and can be a place to relax and unwind not very far from the Bangladesh border.

Hardly anything remains of the Old palace built by the Nandy's of Cossimbazar. Whatever little is there has been taken over by some government offices and private people. My suggestion is to skip this place altogther and visit the Choto Rajbari instead.

For a lover of history and being passionate about travel, I couldn’t have selected a better place to stay.
The palace is the perfect blend of historic as well as modern. Recently renovated, the toilets are brand new & spankingly clean, I love that the rooms are airy and have four-poster beds. My personal favourite are the rooms on the ground floor (so I feel closer to nature). There’s a tennis court for those who want their exercise in the mornings or you can simply walk around the premises.
The palace has its own restaurant open to outsiders too and the food is delicious.
The museum is awesome. Make sure you have someone to take you around - the family history is intriguing. The service is fantastic. You feel like royalty!
