Simply majestic and very powerful, especially since we went after monsoons.
Definitely worth the short, steep walk. Carry a change of clothes. One gets drenched even when viewing from afar. The stream around it and the fields surrounding the area are out of a fairy tale. The chai wallah is a simple and friendly man, who once used to own this entire property but has now given it to the government, as he told us.

First I didn't think there was any waterfall but then this little fall is a perfect place to take a dip. The fall has enough force to not let you stand under it for long but is not big enough to scare you. There are changing rooms but not too clean and there can be a queue. There is a tea shop that sells biscuits, maggi & cold drinks. There are couple of toilets towards the exit and there is an attendant who keeps it clean.

There is a 5 mins walk from the car park.

The Tiger Fall is named as it has mouth from where it falls as similar to tiger, it is some what 20 km further to Chakrata. There are 2 ways to approach it one pay Rs 30 per person and they will let you take your vehicle till 500 Mts or half a Km you need to track your way down and up which is considerably steep. there is another way from the entry point which is about 1.5 km of mountainous track. Over all average experience

Hidden Treasure on Earth
Best for persons looking for peace
Best for bird watching
Rich in flora and fauna esp. Tiger Falls to Mussorie.
35 km of Constructions of Roads in progress. Might take August 2017 to complete.
Try to take Mussorie - Chakrata Route which means approx 160 km of up-down.

The road to Tiger falls is both thrilling yet enjoyable, particularly with slush, mud and rocks thrown on the way (they are actually constructing a road). And the road gets narrower eventually to the point when even a bike can't go. One has to walk down from there crossing very narrow bridges and then as they suddenly see a waterfall out of nowhere, it makes up for all the effort. They are also constructing walk way until the waterfall which when completed will enhance traveller's experience.

It was a nice fall, however not so suitable for winter.
It is a gd place to go in summer if you can take a bath.
Access to path is good now both through road and on foot.
However the duration from dehradun is more than 4 hours, so start early.

the falls are good, you have a good time there for few hours but the roads are so un-accessibile, that you want to give up in the half-way..
Plus the time required to travel for falls is it will kill your all day long even if you leave in morning

The fall itself is majestic, & there are several small water channels all around it. The problem with fall is, its visibility is blocked by its adjacent mountains, so you have get really inside to take a look, and you will get a side look, as a single view point.
You cant take front pic of the fall, there is no way to get there, until you are fully drenched, you have to go through the fall . Other problem is that there is not proper way to get near the fall to see it even. you to climb various stones or you have to go through water channels. Other perk is you have to walk down the mountains upto 1-2 km ( 20 min) from the main road . Any way that was a good part, but climbing back is the tough one. This fall is bit far form chkrata around 20 km.
Otherwise it fine strolling down the Himalayas, looking over local settlements, hill farming, taking bath in the fall.
Enjoy and have fun
