This is an enormous park and the best way to get there is via Medellin’s metro and cable car system. We were staying in Poblado and got to the metro stop and took it to the cable car. The train and cable cars are efficient...More

Great way to ride the Metro cable system. At the top they had great homemade snacks and food from four or five vendors in small booths in the early afternoon. There is some information and a small number of exhibits at the top. However if...More

I used to visit this place a lot when I was living in Medellin. It is a great place to spend a relaxing day, walking and having a picnic in the middle of the forest.

I read some of the reviews before I went to the Parque Arvi. I think many of the reviews are a bit misleading. Parque Arvi is like many National Parks in that you really need to plan in advance what you want to do before...More

This is a nice park to stroll. Hikes have to be escorted but you can walk and see some sights on your own. Fun day

The thing with the parque arvi is that the moment you get off the metrocable you get herded into these touristy presentations where they try to set you up with a guide and blah blah blah. Most people get stuck on this "stroll" that only...More

We were recommended Arví as a place where we could do some trekking, and after checking the website it looked possible to hike some trails (senderismo). However, to walk the trails you have to walk with a local guide in a group. We had the...More

Maybe I missed the point of Parque Arvi because we showed up without a plan but so far, it’s been the biggest disappointment of Medellin. I had heard good things from some other bloggers but failed to read TripAdvisor before we left for the day....More

This is not just the cable car ending. The whole park is awesome. Great hikes and views. Some cool local restaurants too.

You can only do one tiny walk without hiring a guide. Most of the 20 minute walk was on the road as well. Thoroughly disappointing after reading such great reviews. There are good views from the cable car but that was about it.

I agree. Metro Cable is the most direct way to travel to Parque Arví. Plus, the views are spectacular!
