Saatchi Hanuman temple has a religious significance as per Ramayana. After Hanuman returns from Lanka learning about Sita's where abouts, he gives news of her presence in Lanka to Lord Rama here. To testify his words, he gives Lord Rama a piece of Sita's jewellery and also narrates an incident from Lord Rama and Sita's life which only both of them knew. Lord Hanuman testifies his claim here with an evidence and hence Lord Hanuman is worshipped as Saatchi Hanuman here. This is a small temple. Has lot of scope for development and improved maintenance.

Anyone coming to a Rameshwaram should also include this temple . It is said that Hanuman revealed his faces here . The holy temple is an attraction for all the devotees who come to Ramanathaswamy temple . Also , the floating stones are a marvel to look at - the lore of making of Setu during Rama march to Lanka the stones were used in the ocean were similar . The beautiful sculpted figure of Hanuman with five faces are a blessing to look at . The serene and calm here brings out the devotion in heart . A must visit place .

Located about two kilometers from Ramanathaswamy temple, this temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The temple has a statue of Hanuman having five faces. Lord Hanuman is said to have revealed his five faces here of that of Garuda, Hanuman, Varaha, Narasimha and Hayagriva. This temple is very much reverred by tourists and locals. This temple also has idols of Lord Rama and Sita shifted here from Dhanushkodi temple after 1964 cyclone. Also, the temple has a stone which floats in water like the Rama Setu stones.
