Jal Mahal Narnaul - Calm Location
Sep 2020
A good and calm location to visit...visited with my wife during my visit to narnaul...I heard that there is a Jal Mahal and I was excited to explore it..since, I only heard about the Jaipur Jal Mahal...This place is very beautiful and full of lush greenery..Although there is no water sill worth visiting place. Entry is free.

As a name you think there is a water in jal mahal but when I talk to guard he said there is no water last two years due to ASI ( Archaeology Survey Of India) said if water deposit in this zone the foundation of mahal is failed. But overall there is green Park there and you can visit in evening time

The underrated version of Jal Mahal
Oct 2017
I was one of the lucky few who happened to visit this place right after a recent restoration work done, during which, the water tank was filled completely and the monument looked in its full glory. Though you're not allowed to enter the main building as the gatehouse is locked, you can have a peaceful time around the picturesque complex with access to certain areas like the Pond and Mosque at the east side of the main building and beautiful gardens sprawling across the periphery of the place.

Looks Beautiful, only when Water is there !
Jun 2018
As the name suggests, a building surrounded by water is what one expects.
Though with the passage of time natural water dried up completely, a long long time ago.

It became quite dull when it got dry but authorities woke up some how few years back and out of the lavish budget they seem to have spent at lest some bucks on this structure. Water was replenished and this structure came to life again.

As of today, it will be your good luck if you find water because the replenishment frequency goes down, specially in the summers.

Broken Roads are a big problem in Narnaul City and it's been so for years and years, so expect a bumpy ride to this place too.
Prefer Bikes, Scooter/Scooty. Car is a big no as chances of getting stuck are high.

A sprawling complex!

A well preserved place with a sprawling garden and a decent enough water body. Might not be a huge WOW! if you have travelled a few cities in Rajasthan, as this place is similar in quite a few aspects. A good place to relax and click snaps.

Many people aren't aware but whole Narnaul and nearby areas are rich with flora and fauna. DO NOT travel alone.

Hidden treasure!
Nov 2015 • Family
Built by Shah Quli Khan (Nawab of Narnaul during Emperor Akbar's reign) in 1590, this was a resting place for the royals during their travel from Delhi to Ajmer. Surrounded by a large moat (sadly does not have any water now, except during monsoon), the central palace could be accessed only through an arched bridge which also had soldiers guarding the entry.
Embellished with original paintings in a very well preserved status, this indeed is a hidden treasure for all art and architecture lovers. Thankfully owing to the ASI office within the campus, the large campus is now free of encroachment and a must visit!
