Great half day out
Aug 2020 • Family
Great little zoo. Very well maintained and clean. Good variety of animals and great play areas for under 12s. Lovely petting area of farm animals and guinea pigs. You can get very close to the lemurs, wallabies, parrots. Great day had by all. Food prices were very reasonable and great picnic areas. Roughly 4 hours spent there. Would definitely recommend.

A zoo not to miss
Oct 2019
This is a great zoo run with tremendous consideration for the animals and their required habitats. Every year over the winter period they close and start opening again from mid Feb.

We were there at the end of October 2019, and could see the preparations being made to redevelop parts of the zoo, mainly by building enclosures on newly acquired land and changing some of the existing enclosures.

We look forward to visiting the zoo after Easter to see the changes made, they always manage to ensure the zoo maintains it's unique considerate and friendly atmosphere, towards both the animals and visitors.

Although you do not need a full day here, excluding a meal, it requires a visit of about 3 to 4 hours to fully appreciate.

An annual ticket is available, which is well worth purchasing if you may visit it more than twice in a season.

Disappointed
Sep 2019 • Couples
Having read previous reviews we were really looking forward to our visit, however we were sadly disappointed. The park itself was lovely to walk around but where were the animals? I get that not all animals are in full view, some are sleeping or taking shade but no parrots in their enclosure, only one otter and one lone meerkat on lookout. And as for the penguins, think they must gone out on a day trip! Quite a few other empty enclosures and a general feel that the zoo was coming to the end of the season spoilt what could have been a good day out.

Great zoo!
Aug 2019 • Family
It's a really laid back atmosphere at this zoo, plenty of space for humans as well as animals, but chances for the two to get close together too!
The large animals were spectacular but we had the most fun watching the smaller creatures.
Check the noticeboard for times as you enter, it's possible to follow a route which matches the feeding times for various animals.

Great day out
Aug 2019 • Family
We visited this zoo while on our summer holidays. The zoo is fairly well publicised and signposted. The parking is well set out and plentiful. Staff at the entrance are very friendly and helpful and speak English if your French isn't good. There is a wide variety of animals from Guinea pigs to giraffes, all in well looked after habitats. Watch out for the goats if you feed them. Great fun but the bigger ones can be a little boisterous! We had lunch at the Sandwich bar. The chicken nuggets and chips were freshly cooked and the beef sandwich was amazing. A big lunch fot four of us came to about 50 euros but it was huge and we could easily have shared. Overall we had a fantastic day, adults and children alike. Definitely going back next holiday.

Fantastic Day Out
Aug 2019
Visited this zoo whilst on holiday. It is probably one of the best zoos visited. The animals of which there are many are easy to view in very attractive and spacious enclosures with quite clearly the welfare of the animals at the forefront. There are excellent attractions for young children and good food and drink stops

Super!

Went to this zoo on a rainy day as it was close to our campsite (the brilliant O2 Camping) and it was fantastic. Well worth the entry fee which is cheaper than a lot of English zoos.

Enclosures are beautiful and animals all look so happy and cared for. It was a great day with a fab restaurant, good prices and salads were delicious and a nice balance of play area for children too.

Fully recommend!

An absolutely beautiful zoo, we had the best day of our holiday. Very impressed! The enclosures we beautiful and the animals looked well and cared for. Reasonable pricing for food. It was not very busy and Wes very well laid out. The animal feedings were great though all in French.

A wild day out!
Jul 2019 • Family
The Zoo is fairly easy to find, especially as they have a large bridge passing over the motorway that links the two areas of the parc zoologique. The staff are very friendly and also do "animations" throughout the day - which basically they will tell you about the animals and sometimes feed them and interact with them however, they are in French.
All of the animals are great and look well-taken care of. The main attraction for me (and the reason I returned a year later) is the goats. You are able to walk through their enclosure and you can buy bags of popcorn (at the entrance or at a vending machine near the goats) which you can feed to them.
It's probably best to bring a camera, sun-screen, lots of water and probably not black suede shoes (like vans) as the paths are very dusty. You can easily spend a whole morning or afternoon at the zoo. There are also restaurants for you to buy lunch or even just an ice-cream. Just before you leave, you can take a trip through their gift shop which I recommend that you do!

Fantastic day out
Jul 2019 • Family
This is well worth a visit. There is a wide variety of animals who on the whole are in good enclosures. You can see they are constantly updating them. The Zoo is set in lovely landscaped gardens with great play parks and a restaurant and cafe. There isn't much choice on the menu but it was tasty and reasonably priced. We spent 4-5 hours here so allow a whole day. A really enjoyable day and we would definitely return.
