We decided to take a small trip to this temple. Very colorful and beautiful statues. The entrance was 20BHT per person. Just next to the temple you could get fresh fruit, coconut (they have cold ones which they open for you) and juice. A simple and nice visit! :)

Nice little temple.
We also discovered, that near this temple, there is a wonderful boardwalk through the mangrove forest, all the way out to the sea, where the view is absolutely breathtaking!

I loved walking around this temple and seeing all the statuary, esp the guardians on the four corners. It's across the street from a phenomenal fruit smoothie shop and is also part of a larger temple complex connected to the village.

I saw much biger and more beautifull temples during my travels to Thailand, so this one was just boring. Maybe most interesesting on Koh Chang but nothing to remember. I was on the tour around the island but would never pay even 10 thb just for this.

Whenever Im on koh chang, Wat Salak Phet is always topping my to-do list. Wat Salak Phet is a beautiful temple set on the quieter side of koh chang, with nearby mangroves and Salak phet fishing village. Recommended

It's a nice temple but if you already saw a couple of temples on your trip you don't necessarily have to see this one too. It looks nice and is very clean. To get into the temple you need to pay (I think it was 20 b) but you can just go around for free. If you wanna go inside just make sure you have the right clothes on and cover everything.

Came across this Temple while we visited the westside of the island of Koh Chang. On one side of the street is the temple to the visit of King Rama V to the island and then Wat Salakphet on the other side A 20 bhat entrance fee is well the price. It is so beautifully decorated inside and out, more people should visit it. Not only a place of worship but also a place of beauty. The constant blaring music is a distraction to a wonderful temple.

The temple is pretty new (about 20 years), but still has a distinct charm to it. Vibrant colors, impressive decorations and interesting wall decoration telling the story of the Buddha makes it well worth the drive down the western coast.

Came across this Temple whilst driving around Ko Chang. What a hidden delight. A 20 bhat fee was charges, but I would have paid more. It is so beautifully decorated inside and out, more people should visit it. Not only a place of worship but of beauty to.
