Wonderful evening. Even though it was cold we were given suitable clothing. We were at so lucky to be the only couple on our husky ride. Would definitely recommend to everybody.

The Husky Safari would have to be the best adventure I've ever done which will be hard to beat. Over 160 dogs plus pups, extremely friendly and affectionate. These dogs are very well looked after and the staff were amazing with the dogs and our sled ride. So exciting with the dogs howling and barking ready to head off around the lake. We stayed at the Snowhotel for 2 nights where the husky's live and I highly recommend which adds to the experience. I'm still pinching myself and will never forget the beautiful dogs and the scenery along the way. Must do.

Loved every minute of our trip, we opted for the Safari which is a little longer and a little more expensive but well worth it. We were given the reins for a short while too which was absolutely amazing. The Huskies are extremely well trained and although I guess they may be classed as working dogs you could pet them without any fear and they loved the attention almost as much as going on the runs. We stopped briefly part way through for a warm drink by the fire which was great as it gave time for us to take a few pics. The weather was mild for the time of year, ranging from -2 to +2 throughout the time we have been here. The snow suites which are provided kept us warm but if it’s snowing or raining I’d suggest taking some glasses or goggles. Boots, balaclava, snow suit and socks are available to use, but if we did manage to get back to this wonderful place glasses are the one thing we would bring.

It was -32° the day we chose to do the Husky Safari. Our fingers and toes froze, despite having the hotel’s thick blue suits, thick Sox and extra thick gloves, but we would not change a thing. We were introduced to the dogs in our team by out leader before we set off. As it happened we chose to go during the couple of hours of daylight available at that time of year. We skimmed over the snow with the dogs eagerly pulling us. The team leader was a chatty young man happily explaining everything as we went. The ride was exhilarating and so much fun.
