Absolutely amazing stories about the locals, partisans and the struggles during World War 2. It really humbles you as to how tough it was and how many died

Easy to read stations in different languages. Good lettering for my Mom who has poor vision. Good details about what life was like in Finnmark during WWII. Many artifacts from WWII, including guns, uniforms, and photos. It’s amazing to think 3,000 people escaped and hid...More

Although not very large, the exhibits are excellent and show so much about WW2 in the far North. We learned so much about the struggle up in the north and how the Russians helped the Norwegians defeat teh Nazis.

We walked up the hill to the Borderland Museum and spent a couple hours educating ourselves on how vicious WWII was in the area of Kirkenes. I'm kind of a military history enthusiast, but I had no idea...!

I enjoyed the visit to this beautiful museum on the hill. You can enjoy some nice things from the restaurant. Very interesting history and quite place to go for an hour or two and relaxing atmosphere.

This was a great museum. It is full of information about what happened in this area during WWII. Each of the storyboards was in Norwegian but there were cards at each display in many other languages. It was definitely worth it.
