We booked this trip as we had my elderly mother with us and she really wanted to go on a boat trip. I was concerned as her mobility isn’t great and she uses a wheelchair most days. We were assured by the staff member that she would be absolutely fine and the crew would be able to manage her needs without issue. We went ahead and booked the trip. Wow, what an amazing experience!! The guys onboard were indeed fantastic with my mum and made sure she didn’t miss out on anything. They helped her on/off and around the boat and catered for her every need, so thank you for that.
The boat is well equipped and wasn’t cramped or uncomfortable in anyway. All crew members were very informative and could answer any questions we had, we were fortunate enough to also have a marine biologist as part of the crew and he made sure he spoke to everyone onboard and shared his knowledge with us all.
After about an hour the boat stopped and we were told to go to the front of the boat and look out. We were surrounded by dolphins, it was such a beautiful experience. We stayed stationary for almost an hour and these amazing creatures didn’t leave us alone. The crew helped my mum to a position on the boat where it was safe for her to stand and where she had a good view and could experience it all as everyone else could. They never let the fact that her mobility is limited, limit her experience at all.
When we originally booked I was sceptical about whether we would see any dolphins on our trip, I couldn’t have been more wrong!
An absolutely superb excursion and worth every penny!
Looking at other boats offering the same trip, I am very pleased that we opted for the Ocean Quest, the staff on land and water were amazing from start to finish, the boat was well kept and comfortable, but actually seeing the dolphins were the absolute icing on the cake!!
Thank you guys, and thank you for taking such great care of my mum and making this trip possible for her. 😀
