I finished the SSI decompression diving course with instructor Francisco Godinho. The course was administered with great professionalism, both in the theoretical and practical part of the dives. Francis has a great pedagogical ability and a great dive experience. The various variables of diving planning and the appropriate procedures in the realization of the decompression diving are easily assimilated. I finished the course with great confidence to do decompressive dives with great confidence. Only a great instructor would make this possible

Fantastic dive shop. The staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. The shop has a really nice family vibe and are super fun to dive with. Even though a lot of different stuff was going on from try dives to advanced divers, they made it all run smoothly and everyone had great dives no matter their level. I also appreciated that they had really nice semi-dry 7mm wetsuits as rental gear. It's rare a dive shop has such nice rental gear, and it was nice to be warm even in the chilly waters. Dive guides were great and pointed out all sorts of cool stuff from nudibranchs to octopus, cuttlefish, grouper and more. We saw dolphins two days and the captain stopped and turned around so we could see them for a bit. Had a great time diving with them.

It’s unusual when the dream of a lifetime is realized and meets expectations. I did a Try Dive and from the first moment it was a joyful experience. These folks are in the right business; they love what they do and clearly take joy in giving their clients a great time.
They are kind and patient. One woman in our group was fearful and needed special attention and Rita helped her overcome her fears and spent the time necessary to make sure she had the best experience possible.
The other instructor with us, Harriet, was equally kind and competent and made our time in and out of the water satisfying and fun.
My only regret is that I didn’t allocate enough time in our trip to return and take the course for certification.
So thank you to Peter, Rita, Harriet, Carlos and all the Anthia team that helped make our trip to Portugal one I’ll never forget.

In the summer of 2020 I had my advanced Adventurer SSI scuba course with Anthia in Sesimbra together with my 13 years old son that the previous year had done with them his Open Water course. We are extremely satisfied and continue to dive with Anthia.
Safety is of the most importance for them. Equipment is well prepared, master divers are excellent and know the region and the different spots very well. They adapted to diving in times of covid and you feel safe with them at all times.
Mónica, André and Carlos are not only knowledgeable dive masters but also great fun. They take customer first very seriously and do their best to choose the right spot depending on weather and sea conditions in the day. If needed they change spots just to make sure you get value for your money. Jordi is a fantastic boss taking care of everyone and Inês a sympathy while taking her master’s.
I do feel we got prepared to dive and we acquired the skills we were supposed too. Besides being fun to dive with Anthia, they also do a really good job in teaching.
And the sea around Sesimbra is fantastic, with interesting rock formations, wrecks, underwater forests and interesting animals.

Excellent diving center with friendly, personable, and very professional staff. The rental equipment is well-maintained, and the organization is top-notch. I did a diving baptism to celebrate my father's birthday and it was incredible! In addition to the entire team being very friendly, instructor Fábio did an excellent job. He knew how to convey his knowledge clearly and always left us under his watchful eye, providing fantastic support. I will definitely repeat!

About three weeks ago I dived with a friend at Anthia Diving Center. Although it had been a while since my friend and I had dived, we were confident in our abilities and decided against the recommendation of the dive master to do a refresher course.
Unfortunately, on our first dive, I did have a moment where I lost control of my buoyancy because of an air bubble which I could not get out of my bcd. It was entirely my fault for forgetting the little valve at the bottom of the bcd which exists exactly for this situation. But with the help of our great dive master André, his calmness and expertise, the problem was solved and we had two amazing dives.
In the end, my friend and I were really pleasantly surprised with the beautiful biodiversity and rock formations we saw in this Portuguese part of the Atlantic Ocean.
I can really recommend Anthia Diving Centre for their professionalism with and their enthusiasm about diving. They were kind and helpful, really knowledgeable and provided us with this special experience. Thanks André and Anthia! Greetings from Amsterdam, Mathijs.

Joined 2 dives trip in the morning. Firat time to dive in Portugal. Reply my queries quick. Dive guide quite attentive and it was a dun dive although the water is very cold to me.

I have done a Deep Dive course with Anthia. Amazing staff, very kind and helpful all the time. After a few attempts to fit my schedule with other schools, Anthia was able to reply me ASAP where we could coordinate everything =) Dives were amazing, safety standards in place. Special thanks to Rita and Pedro for the Support and coaching during my course!! Hopefully i will be there again soon. Obrigado

I went for 6 fun dives with Anthia and after one day I bought a pack of 12 for ne t time. The whole staff was kind and professional. Safety standards and communicstion were high. It was fun and I felt always save. Thank you!
