This place is cool for ice sculptures and if you have nothing else to do but very touristy and expensive for what you get.

We came, we saw, we left after 15 minutes. It's freezing in spite of the cape, gloves, and sitting on caribou pelts. As we were driving, we only had an apple juice. That was the most expensive apple juice in all of Norway, at 240Nok, :)

It was pouring rain, so walking around Svolvaer was not a good option. The Magic Ice was only steps away from the Hurtigruten dock. Although we were dressed warmly, we were provided with warm capes over our clothing, and that was a real plus. It was very cold and dark in the ice area. I did not slip but was... More

We visited Magic Ice during a brief stopover on Hurtigruten's MS Spitzbergen en route to Kirkenes. This place is a gas! Do not miss the dancing reindeer!

Ice-sculpturs are nice, but obviosly forigners were more impressed. Worth a visit on the Hurtigruta stop.

I have been in the icebar in Oslo where we got boots, gloves and a jacket. Here you only get the jackets which makes it too cold to enjoy the ice sculptures which is much better here. The required drink is in an iceglass, but since gloves are not provided its inside a normal glass. Lighting makes it also hard... More

Plenty of very good ice sculptures to see here and a pleasant drink included in the price. Worth trying to haggle the price if there aren't too many people around.

Turist trap!, dubious smell, welcome drink is a cheap wine, cheesy background music, the novelty of the ice scultures wears off after a minute, seemed like a big freezer with old ice statues.
