Slot Zeist, a beautiful historic little kind of castle in Zeist ( province of Utrecht). It’s a place with often all kind of things to do or just have a walk to see the Slot, it’s surrounded by a little canal and there is place to park your car for free. Downtown city centre is just minutes by walk. Slot Zeist is a great place to enjoy or relax from the vibrant city centre.

This lovely castle in Zeist is a well preserved attraction built in the 17th century by Willem of Nassau, a brother of the king at that time. The architect also built the royal palace in Het Loo. Later it was purchased by the Moravians with the backing of some wealthy merchants who after having built residences more suited to their purposes sold the castle again. It now belongs top the state. A treasure worth your time.

Nice grounds, not particularly remarkable on outside, did not tour inside. The real attraction is all of the parkland nearby, and the Moravian buildings nearby.
