- RDWildeTurnhout, Belgium222 contributionsQuality zoo, closest to TurnhoutExcellent zoo, especially for the 3-12 year old. But all ages have fun in this zoo. Many beautiful parrots, other birds like the impressive eagle. Today with wind from the East also passenger jest just before landing in Eindhoven. Good idea to allow feeding of many birds; a pity the close contact to maki apes is no longer possible. Camels, zebras, farm animals etc. make the picture full - and a lot of toys keep the children active.Visited August 2021Written August 24, 2021
- helenlerelere LManchester, United Kingdom128 contributionsLovely place for the most partLovely place - not such a fan of lots of birds in cages - I wondered why there was so many sea eagles? Is it some sort of Sanctuary? If not it seemed very sad their enclosure. Goats and donkeys were wonderful, the lady feeding the animals (we were there on a Sunday) was so nice to my children, letting them feed the animals etc. play areas absolutely brilliant. Worth the day outVisited August 2022Traveled with familyWritten September 4, 2022
- CarloHelmondHelmond, The Netherlands616 contributionsNice park for a visit for a couple of hoursThis park had improved a lot over the years. Glad to see the stellar and bald eagles. Lots of opportunities to take pictures even if they are in the cages. Easy to walk around. The park is not too big so it van be easily done in an afternoonVisited August 2021Traveled with friendsWritten August 22, 2021

We had a wonderful day here. It is mostly a bird/parrot park, but they also have zebras who come really close to you, also camels, meerkat, guinea pigs, goats, lemurs, fish and turtles. Cheap entry, natural surroundings except that airplanes fly close by. A really great place for children, there are playgrounds too and you can feed the many many parrots.

We were last here in August 2012 and thought it was a nice place to visit. This year we are again staying at Landal Het Vennenbos and so a repeat visit was necessary. So much has changed and for the better. The car park is more organized, as is the entrance. We got a discounted ticket on the day which was very welcome. A large number of the cages have been renovated and some removed, the zoo is being updated. The bird of prey section has had a massive improvement with what seems to be a flying area right down the centre. The birds seemed happy and alert in their sections. Definitely worth a visit.

I would rather call it a parc than a zoo...it's rather small which is good for younger children. A large variety of mainly parrots can be observed and fed (nuts can be bought at cashier, or fruit from home), there are a few other animal like donkeys, poneys, lamas, goose & ducks. Our young children enjoyed being able to feed to birds themselves. However, we missed a playground for younger kids...the one at the entrance if definitely for older kids. It's something different although a bit pricy to my opinion.

This place doesn't look much from outside but there is loads to see and do inside. Feed the parrots, walk through the enclosures with Lemurs, see the new born parrots

The positives:
- Wide setup with sufficient green space
- Not crowded, even on a sunny day in the weekend
- Possibility to feed the parrots was great; real value added; not available in this form in other zoos in the Netherlands
- different types of eagles are there to see which are quite impressing
- outside playground near the entrance is nice for kids
The negatives:
- Overall relatively small, no too many different animals to see; park is heavily geared towards birds, particularly parrots
- Not that clean/well maintained in some areas
- Only limited and unhealthy eating options available at snack bar
- The indoor play area was quite dissapointing; smaller than it looked on the pictures and as there are also birds inside plus toilets there was an unpleasant smell. Maybe this is different in other seasons
-Bus only stops in front of the zoo during weekdays, not on weekends

We celebrated our son’s birthday party. The kids were thrilled and they were provided with paper bags full of seeds to feed the birds. It was real fun for them. The place is well maintained and in case of rain there is a nice indoor area close to the food court where they can play. Personnel was really polite and helpful.

I put 4 starts just because of the people (clients) who is not respected with the animals, throwing food on them or shouting to them, etc...
Apart of that this “mini zoo” is perfect.
