Torri Mamo

Unique fortified residence built in 1657 at a time when areas of the island outside of the city walls were still prone to attack by corsairs or enemy forces.

Visited the Farmhouse on the open day on 26th May - Had driven past without realising this piece of Maltese History was there. Interesting attraction and great staff and re-enactors there on the day. Word of caution check when the place is open as its only open to the public on certain days.

This tower is a fortified farmhouse built in order to protect the family from pirates and raiders. It is certainly worth a visit and has good views across St Thomas bay. It is often used by wedding parties as a backdrop for the photos of their special day. Check opening times before you visit.

This Torri is beautiful inside and it's such a pity it is always closed. The hotel Jemma palace which is opposite it between the sea and the Torri is completely derelict with graffiti all over it and slowly falling down so the whole area which could be interesting and worth a visit is just awful. I wouldn't make an effort... More

A really quaint and unique (even for Malta) tower. It's a pity that this tower is always closed and is only ever opened rarely to hos special events (such as concerts, auctions, etc..). Worth having a look at if you're nearby.
