We are reasonably flexible with the itinerary as we are a completely private excursion..You can be "hands on" or just sit back, relax and enjoy the view.

A must see while in Camogli. Every part of the Basilica is a work of religious art. Simply amazing. Am in awe of the Faith that built it and sustains it. The baptismal font and altar is truly unique.

Standing at the far end of Camogli beach on a small headland separating the harbour from the seaside resort, this church is stunning at dusk. We popped in to light a candle and stayed only a few minutes, it’s pretty inside but it’s beauty is really noticed from a distance. You will find scores of people taking pictures along the promenade and rightly so, it’s the centrepiece of the area.

The paintings and details inside are absolutely beautyful, 3 Euro for 1 Minute of light are a good investment

So we where not going to go in a Church that day, but I pull in to the town via boat and the Mayor and entire town is at the dock NOT FOR ME, but for the Dragon boat behind us with the new priest. We laughed because they where screaming at us to get out of the way as we where in the middle of their celebration. AMAZING. the general let us get off and quickly move our boat. We then watch this tradition and felt part of the community. We marched with the town band, to the Church with the new priest. and hear mass. it was a once in a life time experience. So yes visit the Church to enjoy how beautiful it is.

The church is prominent but doesn't look like much from the outside. Leading to the church is a compass point in black and white stones that is labeled with the winds that come from different directions. After climbing stairs to the entry level of the church, you also see a floor with designs in black and white stones. Entering the basilica you find a surprisingly beautiful and unexpectedly rich interior. I purchased a guidebook in Italian to remember it longer, took many photos and lit candles in remembrance. What a great treasure!
