For a great, not too energetic day out from Camogli, - get bus from near station to Ruta. (Save money, buy your tickets from the newspaper kiosk down the road). - At Ruta have coffee on the terrace at Bar Nicco. - Walk a gentle mile to San Rocco. - Then take path, 1.5 miles to headpoint at Punta Chiapa, Still pretty gentle. - You will pass the slightly shambolic and friendly atmosphere, simple and delicious food provided by Erica and her partner. Stop, eat, drink, relax. - wander back to San Rocco, on one of the alternate paths, (harder work) for another drink this time at at Bar Pippa. Book to eat at Nonna Nina for another day - down the steps 20 minites to Camogli, (develop your calf muscles) or bus it from Ruta Bliss…

We had a starter and a main course which turned out to be a good idea as the portions weren't big despite of the price but the food was nice, the service was good and they were very kind. When we asked about the different dishes we were suggested to try a kind of fish that was very typical of the region so we took the advice and it was indeed very nice. They might not have a long menu, and it is not a fancy place with all the comfort of a restaurant in a town center and it isn't cheap either but it is authentic. It has a nice atmosphere, a splendid view and a kind service and if you like fish you may want to try it.…
