Booked a rental and lift trough Monica, clear instructions on where to drive, park, what to bring etc.
Also great service when collecting the gear and getting all the neoprene. Reception on the beach was very hospitable.
Modern and safe gear, both my sessions we brought a couple of sets of gear on the boat. Robbie was an excellent kite tour guide guide and very happy to share his vast experience with kiting on different spots.
The launches and landings most have been the smoothest I have ever experienced. Communication between Robbie and the riders was clear and safety felt always to be first. I had never launched from and as such neither landed to a boat before.
Kiting on the lake feels like reading a travellers magazine with amazing pictures. The deal was price worthy and real value for money…time did not appear to be an issue and Robbie managed to launch 6 kites including running the lines and getting air in the kites within 20-30 minutes, it only took this time as some riders rather enjoyed the boat ride than using the time to zip up. It was all very relaxed and we finished the session with a beer and a snack on the beach. Fantastic experience in a dramatic scenery with the snow still topping the mountains! Do I ever book again? The only thing I regret is having left the place.
Looking forward to be given the possibility to show Robbie and Monica some spots in SW Sweden. Grazie, Mick

The best kitesurfing School in Limone. Really good equipment and very good private lessons with skilled instructure (+20 years of experience). Lake Garda is a perfect place to learn kitesurfing and you will experience a steep learning curv. Robbie is a dedicated instructure with a lot of passion for kitesurfing and good energy😊.

I was already an independent kiter and joined Windriders for the lift service. Their team is super helpful, professional and most importantly: fun!
The morning sessions are mind blowing and I would definitely recommend doing them with the Windriders team.
Cheers team,
Bas

Sarah made setting up the kite trip easy from the USA since she is very responsive by email. Limone is a beautiful town and the thermal winds made kiting “ALMOST” wind sure twice a day . One day we had zero wind and Sarah was in constant contact re-arranging for a better wind slot. We had Adam as an instructor with our own boat. All new equipment, gear and boat . Best kite day of my life so far. When we returned it was sure nice to be handed an expresso from the staff waiting for our return. What an awesome nice crew they have there. I thought of keeping this gem to myself but not right for the kite community . Great spot , great people and 3 days, 3 sessions . You have 2 shots each day . One AM wind and one PM wind . Both thermal .

Windriders has a small, but very pleasant and competent group of Kite instructors. They are very helpful and flexible (as long as scheduling of other students allows). I went twice now. Unfortunately the first time there was very little wind, but my friends (both time beginners) had a good time learning how to kite and riding on the board. Mika is an excellent teacher!

Thank you for your review. It is always nice to hear that clients are happy with our lessons.
Light wind is frustration if you don't have a big enough kite/board. We have super reliable winds at the Lake. Strong morning wind, and medium to light afternoon wind. But if would be nice if it would always be strong.. But that's our sport. And it makes us extra happy with the great days of strong wind:)
Have a great day, Mika

Just returned home after a fantastic week kite surfing in Lake Garda with Wind Riders. Mika and the team were really professional and the instruction was brilliant. We camped for the week and had a combination of lessons and lifts with supervision. The wind on Lake Garda was consistent and allowed for 2 sessions kiting a day. The instructors take you out to where the wind is best and bring you back after the session. The school uses radio helmets for their lessons which more teaching time on the water.
Mika rented us a tent with camping equipment which worked really well and the campsite was right on the lake and 2 minutes walk to the school.
Thanks to all the Wind Riders team for making this such a great holiday. Will definitely be back!!

I chose Windriders for my kitesurfing lessons based on the Tripadvisor reviews, but I am rather disappointed with their service.
The vibe of the team was rather strange, and stressful. The lady bosses could perhaps treat their assistants with more respect.
The school is run by a team of 3 (?) (obviously very experienced) yet tough women (boss and instructors), together with a team of inexperienced assistants (all male). For some reason all the assistants looked like it was the first day of their job and when things go wrong their woman bosses would always have a go at them in front of the clients (e.g. me), i somehow feel sorry for them.;
On the first day before my lesson, i felt stressed as soon as i met the boss (Mikka). She "introduced" herself to me by shouting at her assistants while they were trying to finish a theory lesson with me. She told me afterwards during lunch that she had a lot on her plate and how things went wrong in the morning etc, plus i was 30 mins late which didn't help. I apologized for the lateness and explained it was the traffic jam, and certainly I can understand her position. But honestly, i'm paying her to have a good time with her school and learn some kite-surfing skills, I really don't need to know that she is stressed.
The assistants were very nice, but i feel that they werent really enjoying themselves there, perhaps not knowing if they would be scold again the next minute?
The bosses didnt have a go at me, but i was described as "dreaming" by the boss while i was standing waiting for her to confirm the next days availability. Im really not sure if this is Dutch humour (boss is Dutch) or simply her directness. I dont take it personally, just "wordless"...
Despite the above negative points, the boss and my instructor had their nice moments. My last instructor Laura kept her promise to finish my lesson at a certain time to ensure i could catch my flight; the boss gave me tips about getting to the airport early, and they were nice enough to trust me paying them after i leave since something was wrong with the payment system when i tried paying them in between lessons.
The office is basically a wooden hut at the beach. If you arrive by car and you have arrived at your destination, you need to make a right turn immediately and you will see a car park on your right where you can leave your car there. (left is a hotel I think, which also have parking but I'm not sure if you can park there).

Hi ,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Our goal is to have a kitesurf school with a nice atmosphere, where customers feel welcome and see that our team is working together.
I remember the day you started you 3 day course. Our days start at 6:45 am in the morning with meeting the customers and getting on the water for the first lesson. We schedule the theory lesson for beginners from 11/12 so that the staff has an lunchbreak from 12 to 13 o'clock. As you wrote you arrive half an hour late and that messes up our schedule a bit. Our fully qualified assistant Leo who was teaching you the theory enjoys it a lot and doesn't worry about his lunch break. As you noticed I do, since when he has to go again on the water for the afternoon session at 13:00. I want him to have the option to eat something and rest.
That afternoon when you had your first water lesson I send our new assistant Fred with you in the water. I remember informing you that he was new and that I would be checking in on him. The sessions before he had training practising teaching on staff members and he was ready to start with customer. Because he was not an independent assistant I was al the time checking on how things where going. For the reason that he was not independent and learning I let the lesson continue an extra hour so that you he could practise more with teaching you the next steps.
I remember after the lesson you were not satisfied with the progression, you would have like to ride your board. We go through a step plan. As soon as you succeed in one step, we teach you the next. That way when you start riding the board you are ready for it. If you are not succeeding in a step, we take a step back or practise a bit longer.
The other days I didnot teach you myself so I cannot say how those lessons where and how the atmosphere was.
What I can say is that I'm sorry that you didn't like the way I speak with the staff. I am Dutch and I am very direct. If I want them to take their lunch break, then I do want them to do as I say. I am not a native english speaking but to me scolding sounds negative. I can tell you that the staff including the assistants know that I tell them things direct but I'm not angry, that I am not scolding. In the future I will keep in mind how other nationalities will interpretative my communication with the team. I would not use word dreaming If I see someone lost in though. I can promise you it was not my intention to upset you.
Regarding the parking. Our customers can park above the hotel Leonardo Davinci at parking nr 2 free of charge. The parking you are describing is for hotel and Mamba beach customers.
So thank you for your feedback and it will help making our school better. Thank you, Mika

This year, after last year's memorable experience, I decided to come back kiting with Wind Riders.
Despite finding an enlarged school with more students and lifters, I was pleased to discover that the attentions to the single customers has remained unchanged!
Last year a 5 days course has brought my level from zero to self-sufficient; this year, after fixing position and upwind riding, I learned how to kite with a surf board (upwind, downwind and turns), I managed my first downwind loops and I significantly improved my jumping skills.
The lessons has brought my kiting to a hole new level:
Last year I felt comfortable to kite under supervision; this year I felt comfortable to ride and try tricks on my own.
No regrets I came back to the same kiting school. No wonders I'll come back again.
A huge thanks to Gaetano, Chris and Mika for this experience

I was really flashed of conditions and performance of kite school and professional procedure of shuttle service.
Robbie is best kite-instructor i have been teached and he is a great analyst of sequences so he can give the right tips to get better kiting. As well i had feeling that he allways knows where all his students are on water, so that no one gets lost!
Beeing with Robbie and Monica is more like beeing with good friends, than beeing in instruction. Having party was fun, and i don't know some one who can eat more icecream than Robbie!
I will come back to lake garda and of cause i will vistit Wind Riders!
Hangloose Holger the former Stehsegler ;-)
