This museum lot of fun!! You can even try on some of the acutal armor and handle the "weapons." It is pretty small, so it doesn't take that much time. It is worth checking out!

The museum is included in the fee for walking on the castello walls. It's only 3-4 rooms and doesn't provide that much information, but children will like it as they can touch and wear the armor and weapons.

This tiny museum is a fun place to visit before or after you have done the walk along the walls that surround Monteriggioni, as it's included in the 3 euro ticket price. There are medieval weapons and armour on display as well as an interactive section where visitors can try on a metal breastplate or helmet to get an idea of just how heavy these things were and how difficult life as a soldier was back then. There is also a well-stocked gift shop including souvenirs for pilgrims hiking along the Via Francigena and many other gadgets, books, medieval figurines and toys.

Right in the center of village. My children enjoyed the exposition of armor and weapons - the nice thing is, that you can try everything on and gives you the feel, that not everything was easy like in the movies. Also, nice representation of history. Short and sweet.

Don't think this is just for children...my husband loved trying on the chainmail suit and hefting the swords...Kitsch but good fun and like the whole town, clean, neat and the people are lovely and helpful

There are about 5 small rooms here with armor displays and 4 of them have armor pieces that you can touch, hold and photograph yourself with (albeit with small wires still attached) including chain mail, shield, sword, cross bow, helmet etc. A lot of fun for kids and adults alike. You can buy a combination pass with the wall tickets to save a Euro.

Not a big museum but some very interesting exhibits. A good attraction to be able to wear armour. I was surprised how heavy some of it was.
Worth a look.

Very nice museum. The best part of course is the possibility to try an armor, a chain mail and few weapons. There is also some story of Monteriggioni of course.
But it is a very small museum, don't expect much more than that.

The entrance is part of the ticket for the "wall walking" which is quite cheap honestly, so it is definitely a must if you're around

This is a small museum but I love that some of the exhibits are able to be worn/played with. I can imagine kids would have lots of fun being able to try on mail armour, head piece etc.
