Really nice experience
Aug 2021 • Couples
The whole experience was really nice. There was a stop to Anthony Quinn Bay for 30 mins and another one to tsampika beach!
The stop at the main destination (Lindos) was for 3 hours and the crew gave us instructions on what we can do there (visit the acropolis, see the old village etc).
The beach at lindos was amazing so the trip is really worthy.
Remember to get shoes if you want to go all the way to the acropolis and much cold water as the temperature is really high.
Overall both the experience of the trip and the service in the boat was great.

Rhodes boat trips
Aug 2019
Would recommend most of the boat trips offered from Rhodes old town harbour. They mostly pick you up from the hotel where you are staying and return you back to your hotel at the end of your trip. Staff on all the boats very helpful and friendly with all amenities on board.

Booked so much through these but one thing let us down...
Sep 2019
Upon arrival at Ialysos we walked past Captains Tours. We grabbed a leaflet from the man at the office and had a quick flick through whilst exploring the rest of the town. There is another tour operators further up the road, so we also had a look at their leaflet.

On the way back we went to speak to the man again with a few questions about some of the trips.

We went back later that afternoon to book our trips. We decided to go for the full day island tour which was outstanding. The bus picked us up from outside the hotel before proceeding to the butterfly valley. You have to pay for entry, but it’s worth the money. The the guide took us to a wine tasting place, a village for a lunch stop off before heading to a beach on the south for a stop off. The final destination was a quick photo stop at Lindos before returning via Falaraki and Rhodes Town. The guide was extremely informative and made sure the coach stopped at various points for photos. A really enjoyable trip!

Our second trip was the day trip to Marmaris where Captains Tours act as an agent for Sea Dreams. Again, picked up on time to the catamaran at Rhodes port. Another great trip, we opted for the coach guided tour at Marmaris rather than going off alone to the city centre. We had a quick tour, but this tour means you have to visit the gold centre. Not really my cup of tea, but it was a short stop off before getting in to Marmaris city centre. You then have a few hours to wander the city before meeting back at a shop for the return coach travel. A very tiring but enjoyable day.

Our third trip is where we found a few problems. We had opted to go to Symi Island for the day. When we arrived at the monetary there was guides got French, German, Polish and Russian, but nothing for English. We were extremely confused as to where we were or what we were doing as were a lot of the English people on board the ferry. Some thought that the boast has ported and we would be transferred to Symi. All the other nationalities had a guided tour of the monetary and knew exactly what was happening, but we didn’t. The same happened when we arrived at Symi. The other nationalities got told about the history, but the English people had to wander around by themselves trying to find what there is to do. The brochure does not say it is a guided tour, but we felt a bit cheated that there was no English guide when there was guides from other nationalities. This made the day a bit less enjoyable, and had we of known this before booking we probably would have taken a different trip.

We also spent two days in Rhodes Town. We decided to book a trip on the underwater submarine boat at Captains Tours offices, which was an open ticket. We arrived on our first trip to find where it was, with the idea of using the ticket on our second trip. When we found the boat, we noticed they also offered a city tour on an open topped bus which operates a hop on hop off system. We got tickets for this and was amazed at what we could see whilst touring the city. Plenty of great photos were taken, and there is a commentary you can listen to on the headphones provided on the bus.

Two days later we returned to go on the submarine boat which was absolutely breathtaking. The views at the bottom of the harbour were amazing, and seeing the fish was stunning. They send a scuba diver down who takes pictures of you from the outside of the boat. It really was magical.

All in all I would recommend this tour company, all our excursions and trips were done through the one company, which was really nice, the only thing that let us down as I said was the lack of English speaking guide on the trip to Symi.

Great tour company
Sep 2019 • Couples
We did 2 tours with the company. A trip to Lindos by Coach. And a trip to Halki island. The women who worked in the Lalysos office was so nice and honest about the trips offered. She was a pleasure to deal with. The bus driver on the Lindos trip was also so nice and friendly. We left a scarf on the bus and the driver dropped it off to the local office for us and the women handed it to us. Was very lucky and nice of them. We loved both Lindos and Halki. lindos has lots of great shops and the acropolis at the top is a must. Halki was so nice and peaceful and such crystal clear water. We had an amazing meal on Halki too.

Captain Vasilis Lazy Days Cruise

A very enjoyable boat trip. Captain Vasili pointed out places of interest and we had stops for swimming in the lovely warm sea. The boat wasn't too big or crowded and we would have loved to have had more time to enjoy this again.

Good trip in the end but customer service awful

We booked the boat tour to Lindos with the local tour office to our hotel. We were told to meet the pick up bus at the hotel next door at 8am. At 7.55am we were at the pick up point but the bus did not arrive. Waited until 8.40am before taking a public bus to Rhodes Town only to find the boat had left at 9am. Rhodes Town office were understanding but (assuming they are all on commission) couldn’t offer our money back and told us to go to local office again. Unfortunately the woman there who sold us the tour was very rude, essentially accused us of lying because the bus “had picked up 12 other people from the pick up point”.

Really I would have wanted my money back as I didn’t trust the company to pick us up another day but that request was point blank refused. Left me feeling cheated.

As it turns out, the woman who sold us the tour had told us the sign “Captains Tours” would be on the front of the bus - it was not, and as we found out on the day we eventually took the tour, the bus was numbered 30 and other guests had that written on their tickets instead. It may be that the bus did turn up the first day but they still left without us, which seems pretty unbelievable when we were standing there checking every bus that arrived.

The tour itself was a long day - it feels longer on the boat than you expect - but with two swimming stops and a reasonably priced bar it was efficient and well organised. Boat very busy. Lindos is definitely worth a visit.
In the end I would recommend you go with another tour company to lindos, of which there are many!

Rhodes city tour.
Aug 2019 • Couples
Few days ago we visited Rhodes and one of the first things you find when you go out from the port is the yellow hop on hop off stand. The man at the stand told us the terms, paid €24 he gave us a flayer and on we went. The fist thing I notice was the man at the stand told us that the bus passes every 15min and on the flyer time table it was written every 1hour and second the driver was rude when I asked him a simple question about the tour he didn't want to answer and we had another conplan with the driver which I was advice to delete from this review. Never again I'm going to us the yellow tour service.

Lindos
Aug 2019 • Friends
It was a lovely trip with boat to Lindos. Great having a swim directly from the boat. Friendly waiters on the boat. Clean and tidy Toilets on the boat. The bus driver did however manage to destroy the Hole experience when he treated us three ladies like school children when we misunderstood where to be picked up after the trip. Yelled at us loudly in front of all the other passengers on the bus. Will not use this operator the next time we plan an excursion in Rhodos.

Enjoyed our stay in Lalysos and took advantage of a few trips with Captain’s Tours. It was absolutely amazing. We did 1/2 day to Lindos and Seven Springs. Lovely clean coach and excellent driving. Felt completely safe. No heavy braking or excessive speed. Very aware of tourists wanting to take pictures so slowed down or stopped at relevant places.
Lindos was amazing. Found a great place for lunch in one of the back streets. Spinach pie/Filo pastry whirl. Served warm. Absolutely gorgeous. Walked up to the Acropolis. Difficult walk with very steep and somewhat slippery steps which were well worn. Exhausting in the heat. Donkeys available but it seemed awful to put them under such stress plus it looked scary as they descended!
Trip to Butterfly Valley and Filerimos was also 1/2 day and equally as good. Have done separate account of this.
All day Island Tour was OUTSTANDING. The guides spoke in 4 languages and were giving such detailed and interesting facts all the way. A long day but well worth it. Would recommend to do at start of holiday then you can decide where to go and Allie more time for the visit.
Thank you Captain’s Tours for safe journeys, comfortable and clean coaches and friendly drivers and guides. Highly recommend.

Great way of seeing more of the area. Boat trip to Anthony Quinn Bay and Lindos loved it. Easy access to the water from the boat, facilities on boat were very good indeed and the staff very helpful.
