If you really want to know what Flamenco is about, go there! But beware, no reservations can be made. It's first come, first served. It's not a bar, not a restaurant. It's a place to enjoy Sherry wines, maybe a beer, a few tapas, but above all, to listen to Flamenco.

Friday night from 22.30, free entry, cheap bar serving excellent fino sherry at the front with a dedicated music room out back. Run by and for the members of the Pena, it's the real thing.

Very nice, old fashion bodega with traditional Spanish flamenco dancing and singing. 20 euros and you get a show a drink and big tapas. Very nice establishment and a great show with the singers and dancers. Well recommended!

I am a member of the Peña, and joined nearly 4 years ago after joining a friend for their must go-to zambomba. So I get to go regularly to their excellent weekly performances throughout the year. It is one of the places to see genuine flamenco. You might also make a few friends!

I should declare that I write as a member of the Peña la Bulería. Most weeks the Peña or club has flamenco events. This is mainly about the singing and guitar. The shows are either Tabanco to Peña and take place after the show at the Tabanco el Pasaje and you can sit down or watch comfortably and up close at about 3.30pm on Saturday afternoon. In the summer there are performances in the patio of the club. There is a bar and tapas are available. You can see and listen to some of the top flamenco performers. i joined because there are also shows such as the annual Zambomba at Christmas when there are queues to get in - there is singing and dancing and if you are a member you get preferential seating.
