A worthwhile diversion from walking around Jerez - a little local history and getting-your-bearings tour by making best use of a remarkably clear projection

An astonishing device which offers an incredibly clear view of Jerez. Our guide was very knowledgable and nice too, so a memorable visit.

This was an excellent tour of a camera obscura with good views across Jerez. Could have had a bit more explanation of how a camera obscura worked but having visited the Edinburgh one again recently it was nice to be so close to the screen as opposed to five foot away. Need to update their information about other camera obscuras... More

It's not often that you get to see one of these - I had read about them but this is the first time in the flesh. Very well demonstrated.

We've been to Jerez many times and somehow missed visiting the Alcazar and Camara Obscura. The guide was really entertaining in the Camera Obscura and the Alcazar was a haven of tranquility.

Having never experienced a Camera Obscura before I was full of amazement. We were all in a small enclosed dark room, the guide pulled a rope and moved a big dish up and down to get focus. It was fascinating and well worth a visit.

A really interesting way to see the city, with a different perspective. The guide explained the 360* tour around the skyline, it was really bizzarre to see people walking around in real time on the dish, seeing birds fly around and even nuns in the convent doing chores. I have been to the Alcazar before but couldn't see the Osura... More

Yes this is a great tour with lots of information about the town. We went last year when there was a festival and you had a good view of the floats and bands. Also all the landmarks and tourist information hot spots are pointed out so you can see how far away they are and more importantly- may decide where... More
