I don't think that there can be a better place to experience Jerez hospitality.Really friendly staff, the bar packed with locals and a superb selection of sherries to sample accompanied by truly delicious tapas and all at a ridiculously reasonable price. What more could you ask for?

We stopped by at Plateros for a light lunch and were really glad we did. It was packed with locals and is a self service place and great fun with it. Complimentary olives and bread sticks were brought as soon as we sat outside and we ordered for Tapas from the varied menu. Be warned that the portions are small... More

A delightful place to spend a few hours sampling high quality sherries accompanied by tasty tapas - all very reasonably placed. Very friendly, welcoming atmosphere and clearly popular with locals and tourists alike. Do try to visit if you are in Jerez.

Lovely welcoming staff. Jamie customised the sherry sampler to our taste (5 sherries for 4.50) and we had a variety of cold tapas all at 2.00 each. Everything delicious and simple. The owner introduced herself and was super friendly too. Go here and have amazing value and a warm welcome.

This bar is great. We visited during the day and in the evening when the place was absolutely packed and had a fantastic atmosphere. The tapas are really tasty and very well priced,( there are also plenty of recommendations for accompanying drinks). Talking of drinks the sherries were lovely and at one Euro a glass you really can't go wrong.... More

A fun spot, busy with locals and tourists! We stopped in a few times during our weekend in Jerez... On one visit, we ordered the flight of sherries to share, and while interesting, it was too much! A great way to explore and learn about the differences between fino, oloroso, amontillado, cream & pedro jimenez.... but a lot of sherry... More

I can not recommend this bar/ restaurant highly enough. The quality, service and price is second to none. My girlfriend and I had an absolutely amazing evening. The hosts were perfect, humorous and extremely knowledgable about the produce they serve + the local area. If you are in Jerez do not miss this jewel! 150%!!!

What a fabulous place! We stumbled across this bar while walking back to our hotel one evening, and decided to stop for a drink. It was a really good find - packed full of locals, friendly bar staff, and ice cold sherry at 1 Euro per glass. Eventually we were able to find a vacant couple of bar stools and... More

Excellent spot for tapas, fabulous selection of sherry and gin and people watching. Tabanco has to be visited for an authentic Jerez experience. The owners and staff will wow you with their friendliness. Very popular with locals too, which must say something.

This is the most fun, lively place in all of Jerez de la Frontera. You can have wonderful, generous tapas of cheese and salchichon, with tinto or sherry. Tabanco Plateros and one of its owners, Luz, both make the night scene in Jerez.
