There is now a new Lola Flores Museum in plaza peonies this is excellent showing film clips, to shows, life story with photos and personal possession including costume and jewellery. Here you will understand the multitalented Lola full of passion and life. Very moving story. Recommend you go as soon as they open as extremely busy. 65 plus reduced rate. So don’t just look at the statue pop round to the museum and then go to the fundador taperia 3 minute walk away. Would make a great afternoon plus lunch sitting in the shady patio or inside.

A tremendous honour in bronze to the beloved dancer and artist, it is close to where she was born in 1923.
It shows Lola in elegant stance with arms artistically folded. Swirling costume folds reflect her career in dance and as an actress.
Created in bronze by the Spanish sculptor Victor Ochoa, it was unveiled in 2003.
Later at a Tio Pepe tour it was fascinating to see the welcome extended to Lola when she visited that bodega.

This is a larger than life statue of a much-loved and celebrated flamenco singer, dancer and actress who was born in Jerez de la Frontera.

My wife and I recently spent the night in Jerez at the Ibis Hotel while on our way to Algeciras and Gibraltar. After we checked out of our hotel we did a little touring of the city on our way back to Highway AP-4....
We found the Jerez de la Frontera Railway Station and this amazing statue in the circle right next to it. The Monumento Lola Flores dominated the circle and was an amazing statue to say the least. It seems she was a Flamenco Dancer.... Why she is headless I do not know...
It was definitely worth the stop to take a few photos of this very unique statue in the circle in Jerez, Spain.

This powerful monument, standing imposingly on the old streets of Jerez was situated just outside our hotel, so we woke up to it every morning.
Downside is there are some fairly weird people who hang out here at night.
