Not huge but very enjoyable just strolling thru the narrow streets with the various museums and old working churches, would advise decent sturdy footwear as the roads/ paths are not smooth and lots of picture taking opportunities.

Sorry, I’m tardy in responding. If you are still interested in an answer I hope this will help. We stayed in Hotel Casa Don Fernando. It’s on the Plaza Mayor just across from the very beautiful medieval town. Gorgeous view. Close walk to great restaurants. Very nice, etc. As to the car? They have a deal with Parking Obispo Galarza on a very easy to locate street very near the hotel. You can get to the hotel to drop bags if you need to, but it is tricky. We were there for 3 nights and just took in our carryon luggage. Very secure parking. About a 10 minute walk. Happy travels! You will love Caceres!!!
