Nice views of Plaza Mayor
Mar 2020
Worth 3 Euros to climb the (not very tall) tower and see views over the Plaza Mayor. The price also includes another tower which only opens between 5-6pm. Disappointingly none of the display was in English but we enjoyed the views.

very interesting displays and the walk on the walls gives you a good, although not expansive, perspective.

Most famous tower of Caceres
Feb 2019
Right at the main square, so you cannot miss this characteristic tower. 25 metres high it dominates plaza mayor. It is currently open to the public. It houses the Interpretation Center of the Three Cultures. There's a viewpoint on the top.

Worth getting the combined ticket for three towers...

...costing 3€. While not individually spectacular they are worth a visit. You will get a good overview of the old town. In the tower in the Jewish area they have some interesting models of buildings made of stone.

A place to start
Aug 2019 • Couples
Nothing special as a monument tower.
The only different thing is that is the starting point in order to do the whole Old Town trip.
3€ if you buy it together with another tower ticket

Sturdy, but rather low, tower one can climb
Jun 2019 • Couples
Just off the Plaza Mayor, this is one of the tower you see from that square. It is a rather imposing tower, even though it is not very high. The latter is great, as one can climb up this tower, which is not too arduous. From the top you enjoy a great view over the plaza Mayor as well as the old town, and can walk over a small section of the city wall to a second, less imposing, tower. A great start to a visit of the old town and get yourself orientated.

The emblem of Caceres
Apr 2019 • Solo

It is a genuinely Arab tower with a square floor erected on Roman ruins. It has a crennelated battlement On the western side, facing the Plaza Mayor, is the small balcony of the Fueros, from the 16th century. The tower measures about 10 m side by 25 high.

In the spring of 1173, the Almohad caliph Abu Ya'qub reconquered Caceres and slaughtered forty monks who defended the siege tower. This caliph remodeled it after reconquering the city. From there it is considered that its name comes from a distortion of his.

Worth seeing, walked around and be mesmerized by your medieval surroundings. At night the lights add a dramatic touch to this landmark.

there is not all too much to see in this tower, but it offers a nice panoramic view around. there is an entrance fee of 2.50€ or you go for the combined ticket including the Baluarte de los Pozos for 3€ p.p.
