About
In the foothills of the Prokletije mountains, at a place where long vanished glaciers used to exist, the valley housing the Plav Lake is located. The Ljuca river carries the cold and clear water of the Prokletije snow to the Plav Valley, across the Ali-Pasha Springs, all the way to the Plav Lake.

Plavsko Jezero is the most known feature of Plav. The lake has many activities such as pedaling, swimming, fishing and much more. This hotspot should not be missed. There are restaurants surrounding the lake and they all offer breathtaking views.

Amazing nice lake, very vold water, seems the water of the lake is changed every 4 days totally. Don t believe local tourist map pretending you can bike around in 9km: this is not true. Too cold for real swimming all time of the year!

The lake of Plav is one of this unique lakes in Montenegro because of the surrounding mountains and the high altitude above the sea level.

Plav lake is the most beautiful lake in Montenegro. For a country that features dozens of clean, unspoilt lakes and rivers, this is a title worth admiring. Settled in a green valley between the gorgeous mountains, it is like the bluest eye you can ever hop in. Take a day for it and allow yourself a stroll around, enjoying magnificent view, picturesque villages and good food.

This is the hometown of my parents. It is an amazing place to visit and the mountains here are mostly untouched. Water is abundant the food and culture is rich. People are kind and there is a lot to explore for nature lovers. Thank God developers have not yet tapped into the treasures of Plav and many are unaware of the beauty here for a fraction if the price it would cost to visit other parts of Europe that are overpopulated and overpriced.

Lake Plav is beautiful from every angle. As a nearly annual visitor to Plav, I love to walk out to the end of the long dock easily accessed from Plav proper. We regularly take our students out to the end of the dock for an inspirational classroom. Worth just sitting and taking it all in.

Really cold weather didn’t take away the beauty of this place. Still water surrounded with high mountains covered with snow. A lot of birds and I just can imagine how vibrant this place is during summer! We will come back for mountains walk.
