Sightseeing in Eflatunpinar !

Eflatun pınar, It is located about 22 km north of the town of Beyşehir. It is 19 stones blocks which is formed as a half of cube shape. Some excavations, led to the discovery of the lower part of the monument which shows underground and mountain deities in 1996.There are some turtles and little tiny fishes in pond which has a rectangular shape with the sides about 30 and 34 meters long. It is surrounded by low brickwork. An elderly lady is selling some woollen socks and caps beside the pond. There is a 3 front bodies parts of bull stones at the entrance after passing the little bridge. I spent time an hour here to take pictures and see all.

This water monument dating back to 13th Century BC is the second most important religious site of Hittites on Anatolian soil. Dedicated to several Hittites god and goddesses, the site has been renovated back in 2011.

The site is very impressive yet there are no explanatory signs in English around, so it's best to visit it with a guide. It's not a popular side in touristic terms, so don't expect any facilities around. When they see tourists coming, women living nearby come with their hand made crafts to sell them.

If you are an archeology fan, I can recommend this place though it's a bit off the beaten path.
