Unlike most museums I have seen, Bangsbo is by far the most authentic. You litterary walk by the forts used in WW2 and learn about how the Danes fought during that period. Everything is preserved and entering the forts gives you chills. All in all it is a very active way of learning.

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and the views of the surrounding area were fantastic, could just make out Skagen in the distance. The bunker fort has a chequered past from the Second World War over 60 bunkers were built. I didn't get into any of paid bunkers as i got there close to closing time. However walking around and... We heard about the bunkers here after visiting Sæby's museum and were so glad we did! It was so neat/interesting to see. Especially if you are visiting off season as we did, you should know you can drive all the way up the road and park by the building -- we ended up parking a bit farther down the hill... More

By car just drive through the top, if you don't understand danish. There is an parking and overload parking lot behind the fort house. the view is amazing, as we arrived after 4pm the bunkers were already closed! So get in time if you want to visit them! The site is still amazing to visit and have the view over... More

I was doing the Atlantic wall and had to catch a boat to Sweden in the afternoon. Spent 3 hrs here looking round. Great view of the coast and city of Frederkishavn from a superb gem. Would be good if they could open more of the bunkers to go inside but lack of cash stops them. Lets hope they manage... More

The Bangsbo fort has many bunkers left over from WWII overlooking the harbor. The self guided tour is well marked and it is very interesting to be able to go inside the bunkers. A must see for any WWII enthusiast.

A great attraction where you get to not only enter the bunkers, but also move the guns. A very ' hands on' attraction!

We only spent an hour there but it all looked really interesting and worth visiting even if it was just for the view. It actually felt quite eerie being an Englishman exploring bunkers which would have been occupied by the enemy during WW2. Would definitely spend more time there on another visit.

We spent most afternoon at the green hills surrounding Bangsbo Fort. First we went to see the "Geschützbunker M270", where we also could read about the construction of the bunker site. The rest of the day we spent watching birds, planes, houses and boats with our binoculars, as well as throwing some frisbee. The way between Bangsbo and central Frederikshavn... More
