It doesn't look like a castle from the outside but was informative and had some nice antiques. The entry fee was 11E when we visited in June 2018.

I enjoyed the visit and many displays showing the local and regional history. Nicely done displays to share important events of each century and many conflicts over the region. Unfortunately only ~50% is in English.

From the outside the architecture is rather simple. However, after viewing the history and the interior you will not be disappointed. Toured on my own--and I don't speak or read Danish--but it was very informative (parts were in English).

I like going to museum's and getting history. Who doesn't like castles, big and interesting. Make sure you get to the small chapel in the end.

Well-kept castle with interesting exhibitions. The entrance fee was OK and the exhibitions were multilingual. The exhibitions provided more background history for the region. There was no café when we were there, but you could bring your own food and eat in the old castle...More

It is good place to spent some time and learn history of area. The castle is located in a very nice place, very good for walking, even when the weather is bad. Free parking on site.

located directly at the entrance of Sonderburg harbour it is a place worth to visit at any time of the year, inside and outside...just remember Shakespear's "Hamlet" that plays just there...
