Stayed at the Seehof for a weeks skiing with friends early February 2022.
The staff in the hotel were exceptionally professional, friendly and courteous. We were made to feel very welcome right from the start and this continued throughout our holiday.
We were half board and the food was of a very high standard for a 3 star hotel.
Continental breakfast which included bacon, eggs and baked beans for those who wanted something warm.
You have a choice of main course at evening meals, including a vegetarian option along with soup, salad and desert.
The food was exceptional and seemed to get better as the week went on.
Our rooms were very clean and tidy and we had a balcony overlooking the lake. There was some noise from the railway but hardly noticeable with the windows shut.
We had a great week at the Seehof and would highly recommend it.
Should I return to Zell I would stay here again.

Awesome ski community and yes, there was snow and plenty of it. Four and a half days of skiing in magnificent weather. Do the Kings Ski tour it's a full day across and back over multiple peaks, you will be impressed.

Stayed at loningerhoff hotel, great place... 5 stars in my book... Great service and homely feeling, Maria alm is nice for families with bigger kids, no noisy afterskii, but no beginner Hill where u can stand with your beginner kids, forcing you to ski-School Them...

Incessant lift closures with no warning that left us stranded and unable to do much skiing. Poor quality resort with overpriced ski pass (270 euro). I’ll never come back and would advise others to steer clear.

A lovely village with fantastic restaurants but reading reviews prior to going about the resort it stated it was good for beginners. I would disagree with this statement it is more for intermediate/advanced skiers. The blue runs were more like red runs from my experience with other resorts. Very steep in parts, I have been skiing five times prior to my visit to Maria Alm and have never been down blue runs with such steep slopes. I found one run up the top of the mountain after taking three gondola’s to get there but I was unable to ski all the way back to the village due to the steepness of some of the blue run slopes. I did it once with great difficulty and tbh it has put me off skiing as it was terrifying. Please do not book to go here unless you are a confident skier.

Maria Alm is a very pretty town and well worth a visit - ski-ing or not. There is a beautiful church to visit and lots of nice bars to sit outside in the sun. However, we had a very hostile encounter with a woman running a shop called Lifestyle Alpin, who clearly does not like tourists! We were warned not to touch anything in the shop as it was "No self service! No touching!" even though it was a shop clearly selling souvenir-type items. Maybe it's just the English she doesn't like, but be warned! We go to Maria Alm quite often, as we have an apartment not very far away, but we certainly won't be visiting that shop again.

Whilst I wouldn't say this is a beginners resort, once you have achieved a reasonable intermediate standard, it's a great and varied place to ski. All runs are well linked though a little challenging for less experienced skiers as only route down on some lifts is red only.
Lovely, friendly little town with a variety of restaurants and bars.
Great refreshment option on the slopes too and at very reasonable prices.

My family and in laws stayed here for a week and it was the most relaxing time we had. People wee very helpful and it was our base in exploring the alps of Austria. We didn't want to leave.

Maria Alm is THE place to go if you want a family friendly skiing trip in Austria. It has a lot of different slopes with varying difficulty levels and great big fat broad blue slopes for the beginners and ski-schools.
Normally my kids are kindda hesitant to go to ski-school, but after the first day with these great teachers (native Danish speakers) the kids loved it!
the food at the restaurants on the slope is great, hearty meals.. Something that most people will enjoy. And you definetly let yourself have a radler or two...

I've skied Colorado, Tahoe and Michigan (yes Michigan), and nothing compares to my time at Maria Alm.

The snow all five days weren't amazing, but if you're an outdoor enthusiast the views take your breath away and make the experience OVER the top. Great runs all around with more than enough technical runs to get your fill in. If you're a beginner, plenty to explore and not feel overwhelmed of dying on a "red" run. :)

There is plenty of food and bars to be had. What I absolutely love about this location is that while they have the opportunity to over-charge for food (ala Colorado), they don't. Lunch at the summit was less than $25USD, with a beer.

Lines for the Gondola and lifts were fast and the staff VERY friendly.
