Ever been to a museum, where you are allowed to touch, and feel, and listen to the music? The owners (managers, collectors) are a passionate couple, eager to explain and show the treasures they keep in this rather nondescript place between Salzburg and Fuschl. A fee of 11€ is quite expensive, however, there is so much to see in terms of old cars, Wurlitzers, a Carrera race track, posters and much more. It‘s on your way towards the Salzkammergut area. Don‘t hesitate and stop.

Having posted a review about this museum, I called again at the end of July. The place never fails to entrance me due to the diversity of exhibits including musical mementoes. The owner enjoys talking about his cars and it is a pleasure to discuss these with him. Also, when i was there, some people of note also visited, making my visit even more interesting

I visited the museum 10 days ago with my children (10 and 12).
We enjoyed the time we spent and the children were thrilled.
Many cars, motorbikes and other object/instruments from the past.
The person we met (the owner's daughter) was very kind and we appreciate very much the time she spent with us explaining characteristics and talking about different topics.
Her attitude made the difference between a normal visit and feeling a part of the history.
Thank you for your kindness

I was only made aware of this museum by chance from a leaflet at our Mondsee hotel. It was easy to find on the outskirts of Koppl, the Red Bull plane outside the light industrial unit was the giveaway ! During our visit there was plenty of free car parking right outside.

We had already visited the Red Bull Hanger-7 museum at Salzburg airport, Manro Classic Auto & Musik Museum could not be more different. Basically it looks like the best car boot sale you have ever been to. Rooms are packed floor to ceiling with random interesting stuff, model cars, model boats, guitars, jukeboxes, and stuffed fish ! In the main room is a collection of cars, along with other exhibits, including a jet engine and a glider. The car collection includes a number of 1960’s and 1970’s Ferraris, a pair of 1970’s Maserati’s and a rare early 1970’s Fiat Dino Spider.

The museum has a real charm about it which is often lacking at such attractions. If you are in the area and have a interest in classic sports cars it’s well worth a visit.

We drove by by accident and even though I’m not really into cars (unlike my son) I was amazed by the collection. You certainly would not expect such a crazy amount of beautiful old cars in this remote place.
Absolutely worth the visit!
