We spent hours here during a road trip of the Maritimes and wish we had more time. The place is a collection of old homes with exhibits on one side of the river. On the other side, the homes are staffed by costumed guides in character. The homes cover quite a wide span of time. It is very picturesque. The... More

This place is great for locals, historians, and visitors alike. The re-enactment of the village is true to the time it represents. The people are fully dressed in the appropriate time apparel and they play the part perfectly and do not step out of character. We had homemade soup and bread for lunch and it was amazing but not as... More

We spent the day at this settlement, learned a lot. Enjoyed all the settlement had to offer. From the animals, to the village people dressed in appropriate costumes, a good time was had by all. We also enjoyed a lovely meal at Kings Head Inn, a must for anyone visiting! This is definitely worth visiting.

King's Landing is like stepping back in time. Walking through the settlement is so peaceful and you get a sense of how simple yet hard life was like in the time period. Staff in costume are full of wonderful stories and the exhibits are plentiful and interesting. It took about 4 hours to see everything. Had lunch at the King's... More

One of the first historical re-enactment settlements, still one of the best. Many buildings representing people from many walks of life in the early English settlements of New Brunswick.

We visited on the second day they were open and it was very rainy. We had the place almost to ourselves. I wasn't sure about going, but my husband really wanted to stop. I am so glad we did! What a wonderful way to see how people lived in the 1820's. I got to watch a lady spin wool and... More

Visited 40 years ago when I was a kid and was pleasantly surprised how wonderful this historical site had become. It was like seeing it all for the first time and now can really appreciate visiting all the buildings and what they had to offer. The staff stayed in their roles and was very informative. The blacksmith transformed a piece... More

We live 30 mins away and tend to go once a year. Changes this year as first few houses are now exhibit halls with informative guides and things to do as in dress like people of old and take pictures, story books for kids, sit on the old furniture and actually touch some things. I really enjoyed the change

We spent more than four hours at Kings Landing and visited all the buildings there. The role players were extremely knowledgeable about the time period and performing the tasks of their characters. They took the time to do demonstrations and answer any questions we had.

A bit of walking, but lots to see. Guides are very informative. Would have liked to spend more time there, but we were on our way home...
