We rented a car in New Shoreham and drove around the island. Saw the 'pond' all around and it is very picturesque. Had a nice swim near the coast guard station and lunch at The Oars. Just splendid.

We took our dinghy for a tour of the great salt pond. There were a few kyack riders enjoying the afternoon. It is a calm area to explore.

This is a very pretty harbor filled with boats. More scenic than we expected. There are several marinas, inns and restaurants available.

We rented Kayaks at the Sullivan Inn (where we were staying) and did a four mile kayak in the Pond. It was great fun. We kayaked out to the Coast Guard station.

We did the 2 person private tour of Block. Had a great time. The pilot was very nice and the helicopter was in great shape. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Block Island as a must do!

Nice beach to walk and look for cool rocks. At least that's what we did. We went in September so it was too cool for a dip in the water. I would imagine in season, there are more boats.
