Beautiful !!!

I wished I could have walked back to this lighthouse. I have a handicap and it was to far of a walk for me, but it was beautiful here. I still enjoyed this place !

We chose to ride bikes to the most norther tip of the island and then we had to walk on the beach to this lighthouse. It was so worth it. Beautiful views. You can tour the lighthouse at certain times of the year for a fee, but just taking the walk there is worth it.

I biked out to the North Light and took the short walk from the lot. I got lucky this time and the Lighthouse was open for the $3.00 tour. The guides inside gave a great talk about the history etc.

Did the bike ride from town to the parking lot and the long walk in the sand most of the way to the North Lighthouse. Because it was overcast at the time, at least it wasn't hot. Since I was going to do hiking later, I didn't walk all the way to the lighthouse. But I did enjoy watching the... More

We biked out to the lighthouse and I was rather disappointed to see how far we had to walk on sand to get to the lighthouse. We were contemplating the tour but others told us it wasn't worth the $. We skipped it. If you have nothing else to do, head out to the lighthouse. Otherwise give it a miss.

Prepare for a bit of a walk. The parking lot is set away from the lighthouse and you have to walk down the beach to reach lighthouse. The lighthouse itself is a great visit, but I think the best part is beyond the lighthouse at the tip of the island where you can see the Atlantic Ocean and Block Island... More

We went here first on our recent block island day trip. Good workout, long walk in sand, but we weren't left with any energy to climb down Mohegan bluffs. We would have preferred MB over this. View was scenic, but beach doesn't allow swimming. Also, lighthouse had entry fee. Was more of a museum. We skipped going up. It was... More

What a beautiful, New England style lighthouse!! Very secluded, at the north tip of the island. About 1.5 miles walk from the parking lot, each way, but so worth it!

I agreed with Lisa H and cmcgovern. Appreciation of this spot depends on alot of factors in my mind which are highly influenced by outside factors. 1. How hot is it? 2. How much biking have you done? 3. How many other things are you trying to see on the island? 4. When is your return ferry? 5. How many... More

This is a beautiful place to walk out to. Thankfully, not commercialized at all. A true nature preserve. You do have to walk for about a half a mile through sand, or along the beach, but it's beautiful. A thin, thin spit of white sand beach at the end...
