Tours are available for individuals, couples, groups- (scouts/wedding parties/family reunions), kids, and families. Custom tours are available. All tours require making a reservation!The Great Salt Pond (also known as the New Harbor) on Block Island offers a variety of paddling options- suitable for every skill level. We generally don’t do reviews but his required one. We have been fortunate through our 70 some years to meet many good small business owners. Corrie Heinz, owner of Pond and Beyond is the best of the lot. Only our 2nd kayak experience and she toured with us for close to 2 1/2 hours through The Great Salt Pond, Tim’s Pond, Harbor Pond and then to the bay for a sunset. Touring the oyster pods, learning the tidal give and take with fresh water influences, the bird and grass species and their impacts and importance to this salt pond sanctuary was great. Informative, eco sensitive and just plain fun. We wanted the tour experience; nature wasn’t cooperating but she worked with us over several days to make it happen. She knows her stuff and runs a casual but very professional business. If you visit Block Island and want a personalized kayak experience call her. She doesn’t do the internet reservation thing….she wants to speak to you to understand your interests, time availability, etc. We guarantee you will not be disappointed and this will very likely be the highlight of your visit.

High recommend Pond & Beyond if you plan to kayak while on BI. Owner Corrie is very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Her kayaks and gear are in great condition (not sit-on-tops) and she has an easy launch spot. If available, take a tour with her. I was lucky enough to be on BI for a Full Moon Tour and it was beautiful. I also rented to go out solo another day. The Great Salt Pond is easy to navigate and very peaceful and scenic.
Bonus: great lobster rolls and doughnut bread pudding at Dead Eye Dicks, right next door.

Thanks ! Sunset and Full moon tours are definitely my favorite experiences - I think .. I love the family tours too.

We went on the night time paddle boarding tour and I can safely say that was one of the coolest experiences ever. The owner went above and beyond to make nighttime paddle boarding awesome. We took some of the coolest pictures and had a great time, 10/10 would recommend.

Pond and Beyond is great! Carly was super-helpful when I called about the weather / pond conditions and helped me pick the right kayak for my paddle. They have very good kayaks (much better than alternatives on BI), quality paddles and gear. Carly offered me dry bag for my phone, and a pleasure to speak with. Don't debate - just go here and have a great paddle!

This was by far the best experience we had on the island! Corrie was amazing. All five of the children with us, ranging in age from 2y to 10y, had an amazing time and were sad when we had to leave. Corrie found ways to engage each child teaching them about the local wildlife. I highly recommend Pond and Beyond

My girlfriend and I were fortunate to go with Corrie on a kayaking “EcoTour” of the New Harbor salt pond in early June of 2021. It was a terrific experience. Corrie is knowledgeable, friendly, engaging, and funny. As a Block Island native, she is able to inform her guests about both the marine ecology of the salt pond, as well as other subjects of interest, such as the oystering industry and Block Island history (both past and current events). Getting “outfitted” was quick and easy, and everything about the outing was positive in all respects. We look forward to another kayak tour with Corrie on our next Block Island visit.

Amazing! Corey the owner has a gem of a place on Block Island; a must visit. Two of her employees Air and Cricket (yup, love it), helped set up with for my paddle board excursion. They stored my bag for me while I hit the water, gave tips and tricks and sent me on my way. Great views on the water included.
Great customer service and great rates too!
Oh, they also recommended a fab lunch spot: the Yellow Kitten. Four of us headed over and gobbled up some fresh homemade Mexican food. Direct quote from my 15-year-old nephew : "this is the quesadilla I've ever had".
Head over to both places ASAP. From, Dilly Dilly.

What a great experience! Greeted very professionally, location was beautiful, able to access both the harbor and bay areas easily. Rented kayaks for a half day and because of the beautiful scenery and calm waters, extended the rental... owner was so accommodating, extremely friendly. Will absolutely rent from here again.

My family took a wonderful sunset tour with Corrie. She was beyond professional, gracious and so well versed in the eco-system of Block island. Because she grew up there she has a very unique insight into the island and how it's changed over the years. We could have spent hours talking to her. We all felt very safe and in great hands with Corrie and Ponds and Beyond. Highly Recommend!

We had such a great experience with Corrie 2 years ago , that we wanted to take another kayak tour with her. She took us to explore a different area this time, and it was another fantastic experience. Well worth the cost.
