I thought there would be more of a hike but it was a long staircase down to a beach. It was fun to walk along the shore over the rocks and watch people coating themselves in clay. The cliff face is very cool looking as well. We went on a summer weekend so it was pretty crowded with teenagers and... More

Great views! We didn't get a chance to climb down this trip, definitely climbing down next visit! Make sure to carry water bottles, climb back up looks tiring..

The 100 steps back to the top are brutal, but well worth it! There is a rocky beach at the bottom of the Bluffs, plenty of people sunbathing and swimming. The view of the bluffs is absolutely stunning!

Beautiful and relaxing beach. Water was too cold to go in, but strolling along the beach and checking out the awesome scenery was enough. Block island is an exciting little island to explore. The 1-hour ferry ride over was also a highlight!

We hiked(it's a tough hilly hike), many people rent bikes or mopeds.when you get to the location you have to walk down MANY steps to get to the beach. It's not easy but we'll worth it. Then you have to walk back up...not for those who are not in good physical condition! But it is a gorgeous location.

One of the most picturesque places. Just the natural wonder. A must stop. Climb the stairs it's worth it. Wouldn't miss it.

Major note: If you can't handle a lot of steps well, your enjoyment of this area will be limited. That said, take your time and it's impressive, whether you go all the way down to the beach or stop and each level. Cameras a must.

After opting to rent a moped to drive the few minutes it takes to get to Mohegan Bluff (a good call; its about 2 miles from the port, along a winding hilly road which makes for a hot uphill walk or breathless bike ride/walk), I made my way down the steep stairway (has several platforms and hand rail) while taking... Be sure to walk down the crazy long flight of stairs to get down to this majestic beach. A note of caution...after the stairs, getting onto the flat of the beach is a little dicey. walk down first before bringing anything that may be hard to transport.
