they were impressive. It's a log walk or bike ride from anywhere and a lot of hills, so be prepared. It is only a couple of hundred feet from the Southeast Lighthouse. If you want to walk down to the beach area, be prepared for lots of steps. I opted out of that.

Although there are approximately 125 steps to get down to the beach, the beach is amazing and the water crystal clear. Its also a great adventure for kids. Once you get down there, you can sunbathe or sit on the huge rocks jutting out of the water. It's a favorite destination in Block Island.

Even if you don't want to take the time to do all the stairs, at least take a peek from the top and look along the bluffs. Beautiful view!

Beautiful dot on the shore. Many, many stairs down to the bottom. You can take your time going down and coming back up. Nice isolated spot to have a beach picnic and spend the day at the shore. A must see for anyone visiting Block Island.

The climb down from then road is a bit precarious but well worth the effort. This a most unique beach site where the beach sits at the bottom of high bluffs. Once you get down to the beach the views are quite inspiring.

We walked from the ferry (after lunch) to the bluffs. There was hardly any shade and very little ocean breeze.... good thing temps were only in the low 80s. Excellent exercise on foot. Take water with you......it's a good 2 miles from the ferry but feels further away with the solid sun. The bluffs were so-so, and better appreciated from... More

Go there. 150 steps with landings. Take your time, if you can walk 25 steps in a row you can make it. Beautiful view.Thats all you need to know. Don't miss it.

Walk there-you will love it! So much to see along the way-the light house, the scenery-just being on Block Island makes you so happy!
