Visited for the first time last night. Having looked at the website beforehand, it only made mention of a cafe and no bar on the premises. In light of this we went to the nearby pub beforehand only to later establish that there was a bar on the premises which we could have used. Additionally, the car park and pathways were in complete darkness with no lights illuminated. This was very dangerous not being able to see what was under foot. Won't rush back.

Hello, Thanks very much for your feedback and for flagging up that there's not enough info on the website about our bar. We'll certainly add some more info about this. Unfortunately the car park lighting problems are out of our hands as the car park is owned and managed by our neighbours Heart of Worcestershire College. We're aware that there are currently some electrical issues which are affecting the lighting but they're working to remedy this. Despite that, I hope you enjoyed the show! Thanks

My daughter loved this. The theme was snow white this year, I have a 12 year old and 2 year old. 12 year old wasn't really interested, but my daughter was up singing and dancing, the artrix is a small complex so this made the performance more personal, the dancers was fab. I used to take my son and nephews when they were little before moving onto the hippodrome in Birmingham. The actors all wait outside after the performance to meet and greet all the children. We will be booking again for next year

I live close to the artrix I go to loads events a year I also run events, sadly I end up going to venues like Redditch threatre, kidderminster town hall etc as I find that artrix has so much potential and is run poorly by getting wrong acts in no variety at all, the person who books the acts have they worked in entertainment ? Work in industry many years and be surprised if it’s still going in ten years time.

Hi Alex, Sorry to hear you've not found much to your liking at Artrix. Our programme is put together by an experienced team and is a mix of cinema, theatre, dance, music, comedy, workshops and family events alongside organisations who hire the venue to stage their own productions. We're always open to suggestions and feedback so if there are particular shows or types of event you'd like to see at Artrix, just let us know and our programming team can look into it. We always try to provide a varied, exciting programme but appreciate that it won't always be to everyone's taste. I do hope you find something you enjoy at Artrix soon but hope you continue to support the arts at whichever venues you choose. Thanks

My daughter (7) and I had our first experience of the ballet last week when we visited the Artrix to watch Snow White. An amazing performance with a great view. It’s a lovely venue with more leg room than some theatres! We sat in Row L, seats 9 & 10 so pretty central. Only downside was the parking (as other people have previously mentioned) it took me 10 minutes standing in the car park on my phone, painstakingly entering my reg.... I believe you can do it before you travel or download an app which I would definitely look in to before you arrive as it could save you time. Car park is right outside so if you manage to sort your ticket out, you don’t have far to walk!

Hello, Thanks for taking the time leave a review. We're so pleased to hear you and your daughter had a great time at the ballet! Thanks so much for your kind comments. Unfortunately we're all too aware of the problems surrounding the car park and we really do sympathise with your frustration. Please be assured we are continuing the conversation with the relevant parties to see whether we can make the system more user-friendly. We would recommend registering in advance on the car parking company website as it should(!) make your day run a bit smoother. Alternatively, there's a pay and display car park on School Drive (near the leisure centre) which takes cash payments and is within easy walk of the venue. Look forward to seeing you both at Artrix again soon!

We came today from Solihull to see the Lickey Hills Art Society exhibition not realising that there was now a charge for car parking. Reading the signs we realised that we could only pay by phone. My husband does not have one and mine was at home on charge ( not that I would ever make any payments on my phone). So we left. Wasted journey and we won't be back. The car park was virtually empty so I can't see the college making up its revenue this way but I can see that the Artrix will suffer with visitor loss and therefore revenue. It may make some clubs look at moving elsewhere too for their activities. Such a shame.

Hello, Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear you were unable to stay and see the exhibition. Unfortunately, the introduction of parking charges and the chosen payment methods have been out of our control but please be assured we are continuing to the conversation with the relevant parties to see how we can make the system more user-friendly. If you choose to visit again, there's a pay and display car park on School Drive (near the leisure centre) which takes cash payments and is within easy walk of the venue. We hope you'll continue to support the Artrix. Thank you
