A popular town mostly with younstars. It is located near Sliema and St Julians and thus it is by the sea. There is a nice beach and also a number of restaurants and bars and other attraxtions.

We unfortunately stayed in Paceville in 2015 in a “5 star” hotel, as we had not researched the area before we went. The area was shabby, seedy, stinky and tacky. We returned to Malta in 2018 and stayed in beautiful Valletta - we did our...More

If you are under 30 and looking for a spring break type atmosphere, than Paceville is for you as it’s a small strip filled with bars, clubs and strip joints with young girls enticing men to come inside. If not, stay away. It was dirty,...More

What a shame that this “entertainment” area is so seedy. It needs a good clean up and some parts smell after a night of partying. Some classy looking bars and so called boutique hotels but also gentleman’s clubs so tacky to walk through. Not 600...More

My title sums it up really. Some pleasant restaurants, shops. Some gentleman clubs etc. Very busy and noisy. Worth a visit just for a look.

We travelled through here on the bus and it was a lively place with plenty of places to eat and drink all along the front. We would recommend for a wander.

This is the heart of the nightlife. Located near St. Julian, it is famous for its pubs, discos and rooftops. It is also the place where you can find one of Malta's casinos and the Hard Rock Café. If you want to spend your night...More

Had a delicious meal tonight at Paceville 20. Food was of very high quality and everything is homemade and freshly cooked. My dining experience was assisted by the delightful waitress Enna, who was very pleasant and interesting to speak with. She had extensive knowledge about...More

Definitely! It is full of very lively bars, night clubs....and "Gentlemens Clubs", so you'll have a good time. If you can't be good though, be careful!

Where the h.. is the bus from Tigne Point to st Julians? (9 Replies)
So we need to take a bus from Tigne Point to St Julians. The roads around us are all one way streets pointing the wrong way (towards the promenade and Valetta); Google maps shows no other bus stops than the Sliema ferries for miles away, but these buses only go to Valetta (I've checked). So where have they hidden the bus stops going from the Point towards St Julians and Paceville?

If you go to Sliema ferries , not miles but a few minutes stroll and catch a bus to St Julians on the other side of the road from the bus stops for Valletta. The bus stop is near the shops over the road from the sea front. Graham

Malta at Christmas (3 Replies)
HI, just wondering if anyone can give me some information? I'm 23 and my boyfriend is 31 and we're going to Paceville over Christmas. Any idea what it's going to be like? Still busy I assume after reading other logs. We're not bothered about there being clubs around our apartments, but we might like to go to quieter bars ourselves. Any suggestions? Also, how much does a taxi cost from the airport to Paceville? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi there Blue82..you've asked bout xmas in Malta. As you said, at xmas every where will be busy especially St.Julians. Most of the youngsters go there and celebrate Christmas and New Year over there. But if you want a quite and lovely place to enjoy you have to go a bit far from st.julians! A lovely place called Bugibba or Qawra (call it as you wish they are both the same). This place is near by the sea so you have a nice view so in an other way you don't want to go nowhere and just stay by...More

Accommodation advice for a lone traveller? (4 Replies)
We have always stayed in apartments before, but my husband is desperate for a bit of sunshine and Cisk and I am thinking of packing him off for a week on his own. Apartments are a bit excessive for a lone visitor, has anyone any recommendations for a reasonably priced room, hotel or B&B, preferably with an outside area where he can take the sun? St Julians or Sliema are favourite. Any suggestions gratefully received! He's too old for the student party apartments in Paceville...

Can you be more specific - including budget ('reasonably priced' means different things to different people..) Consider the Preluna, The Waterfront ?
